2019 HONDA CR-V Complaints

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the driver's side sun visor failed to close properly. Additionally, the contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the driver's side sun visor opened inadvertently blocking the view of the road. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 34,000.

The CMBS suddenly engaged the brakes when there was no other vehicle on the road no less in front of the vehicle. The brakes very forcefully engaged causing the vehicle to slam to a stop. The light has come on previously on occasion with no cause but the brakes have never been engaged till now.

The steering wheel clicks and increased effort is needed when turning the wheel to stay in a lane and/or going around a curve.

Steering has become intermittently "sticky" in the last year. The vehicle has 12,000 miles on it. The dealer says the EPS Steering rack is the cause and needs replacing at owner's cost.

The car failed to start three times and stalled twice in 1 day. My new driver, [XXX] , was driving when this occurred. Car was driven to a local mechanic that diagnosed "code P0087 Fuel pressure failure open recall - recommend going to the dealership." The car was then taken to Holler Honda. They confirmed the problem. The part was ordered but is back ordered. I've been given an ETA of September 2024. I have not been offered a loaner and am currently renting a car at my own expense as the car is now inoperable. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer; however, no assistance was provided since there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. Steering is "sticking" when driving above 35 mph which requires some effort to overcome and when it "unsticks" results in over correction. Also makes an audible noise when "unsticks" First noticed a year ago. It subsided but now has returned and is worse than before.
