2020 HONDA ODYSSEY Complaints

The multipurpose camera unit /mil radar internal electric failure (DTC's U3000-49) caused the majority of the safety features lights to come on and eventually stalled out. This part has failed twice already.

Power tailgate won't stay open. It is a known issue (Honda service bulletin 22-018) and has tried to close while people are underneath - including my small children. I have knocked my head into it numerous times since the issue started. It almost always slowly closes, and sometimes it beeps a few times then closes automatically and if I'm under it I have to forcefully hold it open. A small child would not be able to.

Multipurpose camera is defective- broken after only 80,000 miles. No longer functions at all. No automatic emergency braking, no forward collision warning, no lane departure warning, no lane keeping assistance, no adaptive cruise control. Dangerous now without all those computer controlled safety functions. $2400 replacement. I don’t have $2400.

one morning randomly multiple warnings turned on on the dashboard of my 2020 honda odyssey . the following warnings turned on and have stayed on since: Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Lane Keeping Assist Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road departure Mitigation Problem, Auto High-beam problem, and Brake System. This appears to be a common issue when searching online and appears to be a sensor issue.

Forward Camera Not Working. Because of camera defect the following safety features are not working Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Emergency Breaking Forward Collision Warning Lane Departure Warning Automatic Head Lights

The ADAS system doesn't work. The forward collision system, adaptive speed control, and lane keeping assist have all shown malfunction errors and no longer work.

My 2020 Honda Odyssey power tailgate has failed due to water intrusion through defective rear body seam sealer, a known manufacturing defect. Water leaked into the rear driver's side panel and damaged the power tailgate control module, making the rear door inoperable. I took my vehicle to the Honda dealership, who confirmed this is a factory defect related to improper seam sealing. The quoted repair cost is over $8000. Honda has declined to cover this under warranty. This defect poses a safety risk as the tailgate can open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion. I am aware of a pending class action lawsuit involving 2018-2021 Honda Odyssey models with this same defect. No recall has been issued. I am requesting thr NHTSA investigate and compel Honda to issue a formal recall.

Screen does not work, diagnosed as an internal failure of infotainment system radio unit. Rear camera does not work posing a safety issue

High pressure fuel pump failed on a low mileage 2020 Honda Odyssey. Upon initial inspection the Honda mechanic reported the area around the fuel pipe was saturated with fuel.

The warning messages keep popping up regarding the lane assist system, Adaptive cruise control not working and dealer states that the camera needs replacement and this is common issue for most Honda cars so should be recalled
