Front camera is bad or faulty, triggering all adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto high beam etc errors on dashboard, rendering the car not able to start or die in the middle of the road/traffic when the engine goes into idle mode while stopping at red lights. My odessey has over 111k miles when these issues start showing, but lots of people report experiencing same issue with even with their newer odessey. It doesn’t feel right why Honda installed cheap cameras especially when it plays a crucial role involves safety of the car and the driver.

The rear passenger side tire hit a pothole and it caused all of the airbags to deploy on April 6, 2026. The impact should not have set the airbags off. This has caused a severe rash/burn on my son's face and neck. The vehicle is now being totaled by my insurance company and forcing me to have to purchase a new vehicle and my insurance rates to go up. Three days later, April 9, 2026, a safety recall on the over-sensitive airbags was issued for this Odyssey. There were no other warnings leading up to this. Insurance has inspected the vehicle and deemed it a total loss.

The outside mirrors had a recall for potential detachment. My driver's side mirror detaches sometimes even after the replacement. When I contacted Honda over this issue, they told me that they can't take my complaint and I should go back to the dealer which replaced it.

After being on idle on a stop light, when releasing the brake to go, warning on dash says "Collision Mitigation Warning" when nothing hit the car and I'm there's enough distance with the car in front and behind. The severity has increased now, after being idle, when releasing the brake, it now completely shuts off, dash says "Shift to Park", and can't go, unless I push the ignition button. Took it 3x for the same errors on dash, Honda said the 1st time it was low battery, battery was running on low juice and didnt have power to come back from idle, they changed the battery. Now they say they need to replace the starter after few thou$and$. I see online this happening to others too. I fear the car behind me, may rear end me, because I can't go, green light is on, but I can't move as I'm re-starting the vehicle after being on idle. Honda says my VIN is not part of the bad batch. It's happening more frequently and Honda said they were able to replicate.

Vehicle has all time on the brake system, front collision, auto high beam, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist abd road departure warnings. Sometimes the vehicle turns off suddenly when stop, and the steering wheel gets hard when parking.

Basically, numerous errors lite up the dashboard. But the car itself was running ok mechanically. I took it in for service and after a couple of non sensical diagnoses. It was determined to be the multipurpose camera in the windshield area. And they want two thousand dollars to fix it. I know most people purchased a vehicle like this in order not to encounter repair bills like this (that aren’t the engine). A simple and obsolete electric should be pretty simple to swap out.

With no preceding accident or damage, the vehicle suddenly received multiple warning lights on the dash, including: "Adaptive Cruise Control Problem", "Lane Keeping Assist Problem", "Collision Mitigation System Problem", "Road Departure Mitigation System Problem", ""Auto High-Beam Problem", and a Brake System Caution Light. I attempted turning the car off and back on again, disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes, and reconnecting, and checked all fuses that were accessible. It appears the problem is related to the Multipurpose Camera (Honda Part #: 36160-THR-A91-M1). This appears to be a common issue. This manufacturing defect primarily effects safety systems and is common on a car that is primarily marketed towards the transport of families and children. I find this defect to be unacceptable and STRONGLY believe that it warrants a recall by the manufacturer.
