On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. The air bags did not deploy. Attached pictures: Left side is the vehicle was rear ended. Right side is the Honda Prologue

Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Honda Model: Prologue Purchase Date: February 10, 2025 Mileage at Time of Issue: Approximately 40,654 miles Date Problem Occurred: February 19, 2026 Complaint Description: I purchased a brand-new 2024 Honda Prologue on February 10, 2025. On February 19, 2026, I received a warning message on the dashboard that stated “Service High Voltage System.” At the time the warning appeared, the vehicle had approximately 40,654 miles on the odometer. This warning concerns me because the high-voltage system is a critical component of the vehicle’s electric power train. A malfunction in this system could potentially affect the vehicle’s ability to operate safely, charge properly, or maintain normal performance. Since this is an electric vehicle, any issue with the high-voltage system could create a safety risk, especially if the vehicle were to lose power or fail while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated in case other 2024 Honda Prologue vehicles experience the same problem. At the time of submitting this report, I am not aware of a recall addressing this issue. I will be taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership for inspection and will keep records of any diagnosis, warning codes, or repairs related to this problem.

The car makes a ticking noise when turning the wheel. It originally only happened when making left turns but recently it has started making the noise when making right turns as well.

The front axle makes a grinding and click sound whenever you're turning. Dealership replaced the part but then the new one just broke as well. Now Honda is refusing to replace again as they supposedly work on a fix that has been well over a year in the making now. Separate problem with the adaptive cruise control. It randomly slams on the brakes on the highway. Dealership agreed they experienced it but nothing they could do and I would just have to wait for a software update and hope it fixes the problem.

Axels make a clicking noise when making a sharp turn from a stop. Axel failure can lead to catastrophic accident. Dealer inspected and confirmed noise. Dealer advised that Honda is refusing to replace the axel under warranty with the current available part. the noise is evidence of parts of the axel assembly making contact when they are not supposed to which will inevitably lead to failure which makes this a serious safety issue. Honda is supposedly aware of the issue and is working on a fix. This has been a known failure issue since the car was released. Honda has had more than enough time to fix it. It's failure to so so on such a critical part is inexcusable.

My 2024 Honda Prologue sat in my driveway, during winter temps, for a few days, and when I walked around the car I noticed that the right rear tail light was completely cracked/busted. Upon closer evaluation, I also noticed that the left side started showing signs of cracking as well. The cracking started from the inside of the light, as you can't feel the crack on the outside surface, on the left side. There was no other damage anywhere else on the vehicle or in the surrounding area. The tail lights appeared to have busted/cracked on their own in the cold temperatures.

Loud clicking, metal on metal grinding noises at the front (both) wheel axle when making a right or left turn. Noise started around 7500 miles on and off. Now at around 9k miles the metal on metal grinding noise is getting louder and more frequent. Every time when the car is stopped and then accelerate to a turn (right and left) or during a U turn is when the noise is the loudest. Every time the steering wheel makes a full turn the noise is louder. I was told by a local dealership that Honda does not have an explanation. Honda has stopped replacing/fixing the issue unless the parts are showing damaged. It sounds like they are not proactively doing anything about it until someone gets hurt or something goes wrong and that is concerning.

The issue appears to involve the steering and/or front drivetrain system. When making any U-turn, particularly at low speeds with the steering wheel turned to full lock, a distinct clicking sound is heard from the front of the vehicle. The sound occurs consistently during tight turning maneuvers.Because U-turns are often performed in intersections or busy roadways, any unexpected mechanical failure could put me, my passengers, and nearby drivers or pedestrians at risk. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or any other entity. No warning lamps/ messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the start of this issue.
