In Dec. 2023 my car stopped dead in the middle of the road. After being towed to ABC Hyundai in las Vegas they had to replace a fuel injector and I was told it could occur again On [XXX] the car began sputtering and shaking. When I bought it in I was told it was the fuel injector. I was told that Hyundai no longer changes just the one injector as they did before but now Hyundai has a complete kit. There was none at the dealership so it was ordered on Sat May 17 and told it would be in on Tues May20 but now I'm told it's back ordered. They are supposed to give a loaner but non available. I cannot be without a car as I live alone and need a car. I called corporate customer service today May 22 but the won't get back to me for several days. I was told by dealer service to rent a car and I would get reimbursed but corporate said that it would be at my discretion. My car has 14700 miles INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6

I wasn’t even allowed to select all the issues I’ve had with this vehicle since day of purchase three years ago June, and upon picking up the car I have had issues. My leather seats have bubbled up. My car will not merge. It will suddenly accelerate my car drops down in the middle of the road. My moonroof opens on its own. My car windows were randomly roll down on its own. My car breaks itself. My car emergency brake won’t unhook my car. Every single light is now on it. They have attempted to fix numerous times and my life has been put in jeopardy and my child’s life numerous times. No one can fix this issue. I am now told her I will have to wait three weeks for a rental because everyone’s backed up in diagnosing these cars. This car is going to kill me in my child and is a safety hazard. It does this stuff with lights on and without and it’s random and no warning my EV warning has come on my brake system. Warning has come on my car has been unable to stop and coasted and suddenly was able to then stop.

Driving on the freeway on 5/18/2025 my sunroof completely shattered. I was going about 70 mph and the sunroof was closed. It was not a hot day, approx. 73 degrees. The noise was so loud, as if a gun shot went off next to me. Nothing hit it, nothing around us, nothing was hit on my part. As a matter of fact I was driving in the toll lanes so really no other cars were around me. It came out of nowhere. I called the local Hyundai dealer and drove straight there. This was on a Sunday afternoon. Monday morning the service dept called and said it would be a few days before they have any answers. On Tuesday 5/20/25 the service guy called back with answers saying they have no idea why it happened, they will not cover it, something must have hit it and it will be $4000-$8500 and take 3-4 weeks to fix. He suggests I call my insurance company to file a claim! My car is a 2022 Hyundai Tuscan limited with 43,000 miles, I purchased it brand new and have used my sunroof maybe a hand full of times. As you can see in the photo the glass blew out, NOT in, so nothing hit it to cause this to happen.

At only 35k miles. Check engine display with heavy vibration due to misfire faulty fuel injectors. Repair took one month. Seems like Hyundai is not taking any action for this common safty issue.

Faulty injectors, engine was shaking, sluggish acceleration, possibly fuel mixed into the oil, check engine light on for cylinder misfires.

This relates to an Intermittent Braking Anomaly that started occurring within 1 year of this Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Ltd. purchased "New" in Aug. 2022. The 1st Service Invoices (Jun23 & Dec23) only reflected "Customer Requests Complimentary Maintenance Plan Tire Rotation," but did not reflect the braking anomaly; eventhough the braking anomaly was discussed with the Service Advisor at those times. There have been at least 7 Service Appointments that this braking anomaly was identified by the vehicle Owners to the Service Advisor. This has been, and is, an intermittent anomaly/problem that occurs most often when slowing down to stop, and especially when going downhill. There is a very noticeable "Shaking/Shuddering/Pulsating" recognized by the Driver, and when present, Passenger(s) also. On average, this occurs 1x/week , and inconsistent. One time it started pulling left towards oncoming traffic. Another time it was violent shaking, and almost unable to stop at stop sign. The Dealership 1st attempted to repair this by refacing front rotors in 2024. This did not fix the anomaly. In Dec 2024, returned to the Dealership, and a Tech. was able to duplicate the braking anomaly. With that, they then replaced both Front Rotors (51712-L1100 Disk) and Brake Pads (58101-P0A011 Pad Kit) in Jan. 2025. The braking anomaly continued later that very same day the Front Rotors and Brake Pads were replaced! Returned to the Dealership the next day and discussed this braking anomaly with the Service Mgr., and He and the Service Advisor drove it for about 15 minutes but were not able to duplicate the intermittent braking anomaly. Both Service Mgr. and Sales Mgr. suggested to buy new vehicle. Returned to Dealership in Feb. 2025 for about 2 weeks for them to again evaluate. They were unable to duplicate the braking issue after several test drives and multiple individuals driving. This anomaly continues and neither Hyundai Corp. nor Dealership will do anything else to solve this anomaly.

I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Tucson brand new, expecting it to be a reliable and safe vehicle for many years. Unfortunately, the fuel injectors failed and had to be replaced far too early in the car’s life. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The fuel injection system failed. The injectors had to be replaced, and the problem persists even after the repair. I believe the issue may still be present and can be made available for inspection if needed. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle continues to run poorly and unpredictably, which puts me and my family at risk—especially while driving at higher speeds or in heavy traffic. I’m concerned about stalling, power loss, or a potential engine fire due to leaking fuel. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the issue was diagnosed and confirmed by the dealership, and the fuel injectors were replaced. Despite this, the engine still doesn’t perform correctly. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle was inspected by the dealership during service, but not by police, the manufacturer directly, or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, there were signs of rough idling, engine hesitation, and overall poor performance before the failure. These symptoms started appearing within the first year of ownership. I have since learned that many other owners of 2022 Hyundai Tucsons are experiencing the same issue. I believe this is a widespread defect that poses a safety concern and needs urgent investigation. My 2022 Hyundai Tuscon is in the shop for a SECOND time due to a bad fuel injector. The first time was 4 months ago. My vehicle's check engine light went on and it went into "limp mode" on a major roadway. (I take all major highways to work.) A vehicle going into "limp mode" on a highway is super dangerous. My check engine light went on once again, and I brought it into the dealership service center. I left it there for 36 hours, only to learn that they did not have the parts on site to do the repairs. I have to bring it BACK for another 24-36 hours for the repair to be completed on a SECOND bad fuel injector. How Hyundai hasn't issued a recall for the fuel injectors yet is appalling.

In December 2024, the engine lost power while driving. We were able to pull over on a busy road, where we were blocking traffic on a curve. We had it towed to the dealership. There was no warning or light indicating any problem. Thankfully we were not on the freeway when this occurred. The Hyundai app said that all systems in the vehicle were normal. The fuel injector was replaced by Hyundai. Now, 4 months later, the check engine light came on. I took it to the dealership, and another fuel injector needed to be replaced. The service manager stated that he requested that all of the fuel injectors be replaced because this is a known issue, but Hyundai denied the request, so they only replaced one fuel injector. I am expecting this to happen again, and I am especially worried that the vehicle could lose power while driving on the freeway. Please note that this vehicle was purchased new, and I have had all the scheduled maintenance performed at the Hyundai dealership.

The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while the vehicle was stationary, the contact attempted to open the tank door and pressed the button; however, the tank door failed to open to refuel the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was able to open the fuel tank. The vehicle was not diagnosed by the dealer because of the diagnostic fee. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had experienced the failure intermittently for over five months. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.
