Anytime I put it it in hands-free control on the highway. Even on the small highway normal strip the car swings left and right. And also when I'm getting off from the highway hello, Francis smells so close and there's a small bump the back of the car is sliding most of the time.

On Sunday evening [XXX] at [XXX] I was returning from Long Beach on the [XXX] home to Los Angeles, when I went under an overpass and my emergency braking system activated with an alarm and red arrow pointing to the left. There was no warning before this event. Then my lane assist stopped me from going over the line into traffic. A few minutes later the same thing happened again. My 2024 Hyundai Tucson hybrid has been returned to the dealership on 3/20/26 and 4/10/26 to replace failed rear shocks and are now scheduled for replacement on 4/27/26 under warranty. I was told by Matthews Hyundai dealership that the part may have been defective the first time but after having the shocks fail again it is clearly a defect in design. The bouncing and ride is dangerous. Rear shock failure is a major safety hazard because it severely compromises vehicle stability, drastically reducing control during braking, cornering, and emergency maneuvers. It leads to increased braking distances, excessive rear-end bouncing, poor handling, and accelerated wear on other suspension components, significantly increasing the risk of accidents. I do not want to have an accident due to a faulty part.

On March 6th, 2026, I spent the day running errands in normal driving conditions and it created a situation that did not charge the battery or switch to gasoline. Several error lights displayed seconds before the car died. The hazard lights failed within 15 minutes of waiting for a tow truck. The dealership service department charged the battery and gave me advice to run the car at least 30 minutes everyday even if runs only in the garage. They told me that it was user error because I don't need to drive a half hour per day. I am still attempting to determine the real issue and have it addressed.

Third time SUV was parked for multiple days without being started and the main battery did not keep the charge. First time was five days and required a battery jump. Then it was 22 days, and as expected, the battery did not keep the charge and required a jump. This week it was eight days and same thing happened. I know the SUV is a hybrid but the main battery should not be run down to not be able to start the engine after a short time not being started. My brother has a 2014 Ford product hybrid and does not have any battery issues when that hybrid vehicle is not started for a period of time.

I am filing a complaint regarding a persistent and disruptive software feature in my leased 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. The vehicle has an integrated "Red Light Camera Warning" that plays an audible voice alert every time I approach or pass an intersection with a red light camera. Despite numerous attempts through the dealership and Hyundai corporate support, according to Hyundai, the alert is part of their Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and is considered a safety feature. However, this is not a safety feature, it is a ticket avoidance alert, and the frequent and repetitive alerts create a distraction from safe driving. Key safety concerns: The alert interrupts active phone calls, audio, and music playback at every flagged intersection, regardless of whether I am obeying traffic laws. This forces the driver’s attention away from the road to deal with the disruption or attempt to resume audio. The alert is often triggered in rapid succession when driving through urban areas with multiple camera-monitored intersections, increasing driver stress and reducing focus. Competing manufacturers (Toyota, Honda, Ford, etc.) allow drivers to disable this feature, but Hyundai claims they do not. There is video documentation showing that Hyundai vehicles are capable of disabling this feature via a simple toggle [XXX]. Hyundai’s unwillingness to offer this basic option infringes on the driver’s ability to maintain focus and control over their in-vehicle environment. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether this alert poses a safety hazard due to distraction and urge Hyundai to provide an option for owners to permanently disable or mute it. Thank you for your attention to this matter. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
