I was driving on the freeway and suddenly my vehicle would not shift into third geer causing the RPM s to go up to 4-5. As I tried to exit the car started shuddering and I was almost hit by multiple cars. I finally was able to exit and stop to park the vehicle. No warning lights came on at anytime. I had it towed to my mechanic and was told that it was the valve body control. My car only has 86k on it and I have taken exceptional care of it performing all maintenace like clockwork. Was told replacement was 8,500.00 for entire part including the housing or 4,500 and use my current housing. My mechanic checked with infinity who said they knew of this issue, but there is no recall and the part is only under warranty for 1 year.

A short in the hybrid system's fuse relay caused the air conditioning control unit and compressor to fail. This further shorted out the hybrid junction box causing the hybrid battery recharge and power management system to malfunction. Gas mileage was very adversely affected and the hybrid system would have eventually failed causing a potential safety issue where the vehicle could lose propulsion suddenly while driving.

The backup camera (parking assist camera) image is flipped left/right. The backup video display shows the rear view of the vehicle and super imposes the direction of travel with turn based on the position of the steering wheel. With image flipped left/right reversing the vehicle is counter intuitive and does not match the super imposed directional guidelines. When this malfunction occurred I nearly crashed into a parked car while trying to reverse into a parking spot. There is no indication of the malfunction. Driver must realize the image is flipped and turn in the opposite direction. This is definitely a safety risk.
