The local dealer was contacted, and the recall repair was performed after two months of driving the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, and a complaint was filed. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice. In addition, the contact stated that while driving on a busy bridge, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 40 MPH. The contact drove at a slow speed for a while before being able to take an exit. The contact stated that the low tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the road. The contact turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle started. The contact stated that the failure had not reoccurred. In addition, the contact stated that the failure started one week after the recall repair was performed. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Unsafe, Defective Vehicle & Refusal to Remedy Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overlander VIN: [XXX] Purchase Date: [XXX] Dealership: Route 18 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, East Brunswick, NJ I purchased this vehicle new in June 2023. From the first weeks, it has displayed severe, life-threatening defects that make it unsafe and undriveable. Despite presenting it to seven authorized Jeep service stations and contacting both the dealership and Jeep/Stellantis repeatedly, no effective repair, replacement, or buyback has been provided. The SUV has just 1,000 miles yet has been out of service for over two years, resulting in substantial financial loss and hardship. Safety Defects HVAC/Defrost Failure: After 20–30 miles, the A/C stops cooling and blows only hot air. The blower often shuts off completely, fogging the windshield and reducing visibility to zero. Jeep has acknowledged this defect under NHTSA Recall 24V111 (Manufacturer Code 04B), but no remedy has been made available. HUD Mirror Glare: The Head-Up Display mirror is misaligned and reflects light from headlights, streetlights, and sunlight across the windshield, producing blinding glare and making safe driving impossible. Failed Remedy Attempts Seven Jeep service centers refused long test drives, logging less than 5 miles even though the HVAC issue occurs after 30–50 miles. Route 18 staff admitted seeing the HUD glare but told me to “tint the windshield.” Management was dismissive, and Jeep/Stellantis corporate has ignored all follow-ups for over two years. Impact and Remedy Requested I have paid tens of thousands in loans, insurance, towing, storage, and rentals for a vehicle I cannot safely drive. I request an immediate buyback or full refund, or replacement with a safe, defect-free vehicle, plus reimbursement of all related costs. This Jeep is unsafe and abandoned by dealer and manufacturer. Since purchasing the vehicle in January of 2024 , I have had the same repeated safety issues that the dealership and Chrysler were made aware of . I was told that no other vehicles of my make and model had the same issues so I was not listened to . While driving vehicle has slammed on the breaking system for no apparent reason at different speeds. Last time this happened I was on the thruway doing 65 mph. This has happened over 10 times and has been extremely scary and upsetting. The Hybrid system alert has flashed over 30 times and the vehicle has stalled with loss of power. The transmission either jerks or there is a large lag of power -sometimes gas pedal needs to be pinned in order for vehicle to go forward. I have complained to the dealership and Chrysler about the safety issues and how the battery has not work as expected upon purchasing and all the safety issues. I have been mislead by Chrysler on the performance and use of the vehicle. I have asked for a resolution for over a year- lemon law, buy back , but I have to continue to drive an unsafe vehicle. There is a loss of power in the moment the propulsion changes from electric to gas followed by an error message to "service hybrid electrical system". Dealer inspected an found there is currently no remedy. Seems to be a known issue by now.

Two instances: 1) While reversing out of a parking spot, several warning lights flashed at once, including Power Steering System disabled, Service Hybrid Engine System, and two others - lost power steering. I parked and restarted the car and it drove normally. 2) While in park, the car started but would not shift gears and it would not turn off. It was stuck in this position for 10 minutes until the ignition button finally responded and shut off.

Vehicle recall but manufacturer does not have a remedy and this is my only vehicle. My hybrid light came on and flashed off. Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 91,787 units of its 2022 to 2026 Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) due to a software error within the hybrid control processor that may result in a loss of drive power. An unexpected loss of propulsion could cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.

The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal before the vehicle stalled. An unknown message about the Hybrid Mode and Gasoline Mode was displayed. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle was restarted, and the system reset independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) had failed. The vehicle was not repaired due to the part not being available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that before the vehicle stalled, there had been issues with the electrical system. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,741.

Vehicle randomly will not shift from first gear to second gear. This has caused very high rpm’s in first gear and I have almost been hit from behind each time. I must put flashers on, pull over, shut engine off and restart to clear the issue! It is Very Dangerous! It has been to the dealership to be fixed, but they have been unable to duplicate the issue
