2023 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE Complaints

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. While driving on the freeway, our sunroof window exploded and shattered completely. We were not around any other cars or an overpass. Thankfully the upper screen was closed otherwise glass would have fallen on us. I have read on Jeep forums that this is happening to a lot of newer Grand Cherokees, so it has to be a manufacturing issue.

The dealer has been putting us off for months on the safety recall for the coil spring issue. They keep telling us that the parts are unavailable. We are afraid to drive our brand new car. They will not give us an ETA on the repair.

Front panel of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with no visible causes, warnings, etc. Safety risks included potential glass being introduced to the cab of the vehicle had the headliner panel been open for natural lighting. Other risks include damaged headliner and electrical components depending on where the glass traveled. Dealership claims this is not an ongoing issue though multiple forums talk about this happening as well for the same style vehicle. We will be dropping car off at the dealership for evaluation as the car is covered under bumper to bumper warranty.

I am reaching out to discuss a serious and concerning issue I recently experienced with my Jeep Grand Cherokee L. While driving, the vehicle suddenly lost power steering completely, making it incredibly difficult to control. This was not only unexpected but also quite frightening, given the potential for accidents in such situations. To add to the concern, about six warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Notably, messages like "Blind Spot Monitoring System Unavailable", "Lane Assistance", and, most critically, a warning about the power steering were displayed. I noticed the check engine light come up as well and the detectors on my mirrors were lit up as if the entire system was malfunctioning. Having looked into potential causes, I came across a recall notice for the 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L models regarding a steering assembly issue. I am deeply concerned that my vehicle might be affected by this recall and, considering the risks associated with such failures, I believe this matter needs urgent attention. Additionally, I had my little one in the car and am deeply concerned that we could have potentially been involved in an accident related to the malfunction. I’m reading that others have experienced the same issues

My emergency braking system doesn’t work and jeep corporate can’t fix it. The car won’t stop and won’t notify me in an emergency and it’s not safe. The dealer gave me a second jeep and it has the identical problem. That vin is [XXX] . The dealer also said they have no fix for this issue. I accidently backed into a tree when my parking warning system and blind spot warning system didn't work. Damage to my vehicle was to the right rear quarter panel, bumper, tailgate and tail light. It was only after the accident occurred, that I found out that Jeep had a recall for the rearview camera visibility system. I feel that Jeep should be responsible for the repairs. My insurance company advised me to file a complaint with you and also with Jeep before they become involved. Please advise me as to what steps I should take. On 10/07/2023, about 7:30 pm, I was driving down 6th Street in Beaumont California at about 30 mph speed when all of a sudden the engine made a horrible loud noise and it looked like the accelerator pedal was suddenly hit. It seemed that the vehicle speed did not increase accordingly, but my foot had released the gas pedal already. Once I confirmed that the noise was indeed coming from my car, I pulled over and turned off the engine while the loud noise was continuing. Then I restarted the car and the problem didn't reoccur this time. Then, the car has performed normally.

While backing out of garage as I routinely do each morning, my gauge panel indicated a "Service Steering System" light as well as the check engine light. I lost all power steering. I unhooked battery, and reconnected. Power steering was now available, but the check engine light remains on. I took car to dealership where it has set for 8 days. I have been told they are waiting on part #68628263-AA, a rack & pinion. I was not offered a loaner vehicle or an explanation other than that they are waiting on a part. I was told to just "take the car home and drive it if I knew how to reset the battery to get power steering to work". This seems very unsafe.
