Re: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit AWD, Vin [XXX] A Known COMMON Jeep Uconnect problem identified by Jeep Case No. XXX Rev.B, Feb. 2023. Problem: with the UConnect 5 system, that on an update the language became Italian ( I wa able to change back to English) and many user controllable functions become inoperative, ie. which I cannot change the settings unless the Dealer reflashes the UConnect's User Controllabe interface. What is very concerning is the loss of Automatic Emergency Breaking (AEB), it is permanently turned "OFF" in yellow, meaning there is no fault with the AEB. I believe the loss of a major Safety System (AEB) is cause to Warrant a Safety Recall. Jeep Customer Care said I will have to pay for the reflash because I am no longer under warranty. This Case XXX Rev. B was identified when my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherrokee L was under warranty. Please Help by making this a RECALL. The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The contact stated that while coming to a stop, the brake pedal became inoperable, with the ABS warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the brake pedal was forcefully depressed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and it was determined that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

Touch screen display "blacks" out. Screen goes completely blank for a few moments then returns to normal. Has been ongoing for a few years but dealership can't find anything wrong. Now it happened while I reversing so I couldn't use/see back up camera angle. Other similar jeep models made the recall but not mine.

When driveing the jeep it just stop pulling,just driveing in traffic I'm so scared we gonna get Hurt or killed,drove jeep to my daughter house,spent the night next morning getting ready to leave truck wouldn't move,suspension just popped so loud,we kept twisting the button to neutral to drive,before the jeep will move again got on the highway going down highway jeep stop pulling again I just bought this truck in December of 2025,taken it to Parker McGill in starkville twice,they can't find nothing wrong when traveling.and the truck go over 6000rpm will not move,this dangerous on the highway,for my family,im really scared,this is a safety issue,

Forward collision warning system not working. Light on dashboard says system disabled. Paddle shifters also disabled. Temperature readings in metrics and language keeps changing. This is available for inspection if needed. We bought this car because of the collision warning and braking system safety features and none of them work. This puts our safety at risk. The dealer has updated the system but unfortunately it was only a temporary fix. The jeep dealer confirmed the issue and states there is no permanent fix for the issues. It first appeared in July and has been ongoing.

Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over a year. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) light will not turn off. System has been reset per Star online publication S2108000249 (Misc Functions and run the “Customer Programable Feature Configuration”). System showing temperature in Celsius, tire pressure in kpa, speedometer in KMH, language in Italian. Previously saved settings not saved.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, I was involved in a head-on collision. During the accident, the airbags did not deploy, and the seatbelt failed to lock, which resulted in me not being properly restrained. As a result, I suffered a mild concussion along with significant bruising. In addition to this serious safety concern, we have made numerous complaints regarding ongoing electrical issues with the vehicle. These include the screens frequently changing languages and measurement units, blacking out entirely, or becoming unresponsive. The paddle shifters have also never functioned properly, despite the vehicle being serviced multiple times for this issue. What is especially concerning is that these same problems are widely reported by other Jeep owners online, yet they continue to go uninvestigated and unresolved. Given the safety implications, these issues warrant immediate attention.

There is an “thumping” noise in my dash of my vehicle, as well as a rocking sensation after coming to a stop. I took it to the dealership where they replicated it and determined it to be motor mounts that had failed. It is available if it needs to be inspected by a jeep field inspector. As those motor mounts get worse it could cause major safety issues for motorists I am around at the time of failure and myself alike. No warning lights have came on stating there is an issue.
