What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Component: Engine/Powertrain and Electrical System. Availability: Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection. ? 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? While driving, the vehicle suddenly shut off without warning, causing a loss of power, steering, and braking assistance, creating a serious risk of collision. This could have resulted in a major accident, especially at higher speeds or in traffic. ? 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The Jeep dealership replicated the issue once, but initially claimed they couldn’t. Jeep later confirmed the dealership did replicate it, but no repairs were made. ? 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Jeep-authorized dealership. Jeep confirmed the issue was replicated but refused to escalate it for further inspection. ? 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights or messages appeared. The vehicle shut off without any prior indication, making it unpredictable and dangerous. The vehicle is a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with approximately 21,000 miles. It unexpectedly shut off while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. Despite Jeep confirming the dealership replicated the issue, they failed to provide a solution or send a field engineer. I am requesting an NHTSA investigation due to the potential for this defect to cause serious accidents or fatalities

I have had this 2024 Grand Cherokee for barely 4 months and this is the second time I have gotten the notification “Automatic Emergency braking needs servicing” and “Right Lighting needs servicing” the AEB nor forward collision warning works and last time I brought it in they said the right head light was continuously running which is why it needed servicing and here I am 2 weeks later with the exact same issue.

The infotainment system at times will blank out black. While it doesn’t last more than a few seconds it does happen often.

This vehicle was purchased brand new Nov.29 2025 on Jan. 20 2025 (mileage - 1232) the vehicle was driven about 48 miles and once arrived the vehicle was placed in Park and turned off as normal. After 90 or so minutes inside came out to start vehicle and it would not start, dash lit up with multiple error messages : "Service Transmission Continue in D don't shift or turn off vehicle until you reach a desired location as you may not be able to shift again" "Service Electronic Stability Control" "Auto Park Disabled" "Vehicle not in Park" every feature on the car disabled. It would then not turn the power back off at all. Called roadside assistance and waited in 2 degree weather with my wife and child for about 2 hours to get towed to nearest Jeep dealer, all the while the power would not turn off to the Jeep. The dealer was still having an issue an hour later trying to turn off before we left. This vehicle is still with the dealer trying to diagnose the issue. This is a big safety issue that needs to be looked into as if I were driving this could have caused a serious issue especially with my children in the vehicle with me.

On multiple occasions while driving, vehicle gear blinked from Drive and told me place the vehicle in park. Unable to do so because I was in traffic, vehicle would no longer accelerate and completely stopped. I could not shift to Park and had to turn off the entire car. Once restarted, brake system was engaged and I could not turn it off until I restarted the vehicle again. I have had my children with me and while I haven’t been in an accident yet, it puts us in grave danger.
