Vehicle was driven for 5 minutes before alerting that it was overheating. While attempting to pull into a safe location off of a main road, the vehicle would not allow me to accelerate. This left our family stranded in the turn lane. I was unable to restart the engine or shift into drive.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle unintendedly shut off. The vehicle failed to immediately restart. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated normally for a short while before erroneously shutting off a second time. The contact stated that during the failure, another vehicle almost crashed into the rear of the vehicle, and the vehicle failed to immediately restart. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the instrument cluster malfunctioned and started pixelating, making the screen unreadable. During the failure, the contact was unable to view the safety information, and the lane departure feature was inoperable. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failures was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The VIN was not available.

The thermostat failed causing the vehicle to go into a reduced power mode while climbing a hill with a trailer. The dealer has a technical service bulletin for this issue but the overheating can call engine damage or an accident when the vehicle has reduced power. There were no warnings on the cluster until the car was already in a protection mode and power had been reduced. The cluster coolant temperature gauge is slow to respond and not accurate.

This situation is similar to the recent Palisade SUV recall: The seat folding system operates when the button is pressed, even if the seat is occupied. The system does not detect the presence of a seated passenger and allows the seat to fold in both 2nd and 3rd rows. The system lacks sufficient anti-pinch protection. The motor does not stop when encountering resistance, such as a person, child, or pet, and continues folding despite obstruction. I am in the process of making the complaint with the Jeep Customer Support which directed me to Jeep local dealership to do the investigation. The inspection is not performed yet.

2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian. Water intrudes into the left headlight assembly through a defective seal, destroying the LED driver module (OEM part #68590086AD) and burning the internal wiring harness connector. This has caused: (1) complete headlight failure while driving in winter conditions with passengers; (2) sudden loss of engine power while in operation; (3) battery failure with standing water found under the battery on the left side; (4) Uconnect/radio/antenna/telematics failure (case open since 30,000 miles, unresolved). All failures traced to the same left-side water ingress point. Jeep Case [XXXX] and Wagoneer Connect Case #[XXXX] both open and unresolved for 18+ months. Vehicle used for licensed medical patient transportation. Multiple roadside assistance calls. Total losses approximately $10,000. On multiple occasions my vehicle has not recognized the key fob when I have been at the vehicle. I have actually been standing by it trying to open the door and it would not respond. Even if I was holding the key fob in my hand next to the door it would not respond. I would have to manually push the unlock button on the fob to be able to enter. This has caused me personal safety concerns when in unfavorable situations and I could not immediately gain access to the interior of my vehicle. The memor seat and easy exit functions have repeatedly failed to operate as they should causing me to be out of position when driving requiring manual resetting of the position. The heads up display consistently shows the incorrect speed limit. Google Maps and Carplay intermittently become disconnected while I am driving creating a safety hazard when I am using Google Maps guidance. The date below is simply the most recent time these happened. Again, these have happened repeatedly over the period of ownership.

Late last year I reported that while towing a trailer, the dash indicated that the trailer had disconnected from the trailer as looking back I noticed the lights were off when the vehicle lights were on. Before I could pull over to check the connection, the lights turned back on and the warning light extinguished. This happened 3 times when towing the trailer that day. The dealership "reprogrammed" the module and said it was good. But after the latest recall for the Wagoneer, having it recalled, I wanted to notify someone about the potential for expanding the vehicles included in the recall.

While driving, my vehicle has intermittently lost power without warning, creating a serious safety hazard. The loss of power occurs unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion and is not associated with any driver input, weather, or road conditions. The issue has occurred on more than one occasion. The first occasion in March 2025. The issue appeared to be temporarily resolved but later recurred, indicating the underlying problem was not corrected. When the loss of power occurs, the vehicle does not respond to acceleration input and behaves as though propulsion is cut off completely. This happens suddenly and without warning while driving. This condition creates a dangerous situation, particularly when driving in traffic or at speed as was the case on 12/4/25 when driving 70 mph on the freeway, the second time the issue occurred for us. The car was immediately brought to the dealership on 12/4/2025 and remains there today. On the first occurrence the dealership attributed it to low battery charge and replaced both batteries. The dealership has performed inspections and diagnostics including:Battery testing and replacement,Wiring and harness inspections,Software updates to vehicle control modules,Extended road testing.Despite these efforts:The issue has not been permanently resolved,The dealership has stated the concern could not be duplicated,The dealership has indicated that fault codes were not always present. A STAR case has been opened, Jeep Customer Care has been contacted regarding this issue, and a field technician has been requested to come to the dealership to assess the vehicle. Despite repeated service visits I am submitting this complaint to report a recurring, intermittent loss-of-power condition that may not consistently trigger diagnostic fault codes but poses a serious safety risk for the car occupants and other drivers on the road surrounding this vehicle.
