2015 KIA OPTIMA Complaints

Chunks of paint are coming off my car on the freeway. It was raining and a large section of paint flew off and onto the car that was driving behind me and stuck to their windshield. The occupant almost had a collision with another vehicle on the freeway. I was able to follow the car that got the paint stuck to their windshield and I did apologize and got their contact information to verify my incident.

White pearl color start pealing off, affected area is at the back of the roof above the back window.

The contact owns a 2015 Kia Optima. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

Driving on highway at 65 mph and engine just died with no warning. Almost got hit trying to get off the expressway to the side of road. Had car towed home and checked engine. Engine is seized up completely.

The vehicle had electrical fire. While driving smoke and electric fire smell started to fill the cabin. Pull off the road and exited the vehicle. All vehicle caution indicators were lit up on the dashboard, engine, battery, temp, etc indicators. Shut off car called roadside assistance. Car smelled or charred electric components. Had it towed to the manufacturer dealership. Waiting on response from KIA to determine cause of electrical fire.

The paint on my white 2015 kia optima is coming off and when my windshield was replaced more paint came off on the roof above the windshield.

When I drive at night the low beams are so dim I have to use high beams or fog lights to see.

Car started making a horrible knocking.. Had a rod bearing failure. Engine was completely bad. And Kia refuses to fix and or reimburse me.

The contact’s son owns a 2015 Kia Optima. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact then stated that her son was able to jumpstart the vehicle. The contact then stated that the battery was replaced however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact’s son was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to the contact’s residence. An undisclosed dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to an independent mechanic for assistance. The vehicle was then towed to the independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed back to the contact’s residence where it remained. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

My paint is bubbling, chipping and is destroyed for no reason. I was my car by hand with a special car wash soap and dry it with a shammy. I took pictures and within 2 months of having my car sit the paint it boiling? I have seen claims ona facebook page this is happening to other Kia models. My friend just got his Prius painted due to the same issue *same color Pearl White~ !!!!
