2025 KIA CARNIVAL HYBRID- Mena, AR
When pulling out onto the highway from my drive way the car would no accelerate when I pressed the gas, the car would not exceed 35mph, when caused me and my kids to almost get rear ended when pulling out since the car would not go..... the car will start to flash a " check hybrid system pull over safely" light and then the car will start to coast and I have to find somewhere safe to coast off to, to turn the vehicle off and then on again, it will run fine after that but it will eventually do it again... I have taken the car to 2 different dealerships to have it looked and and they tell me nothing is wrong with it

2018 KIA SORENTO- Missoula, MT
2018 Kia Sorento. Snow White Pearl paint started delaminating at about 45,000 miles. Now it has 51,000 miles and I have multiple spots where it is delaminating on the hood, front bumper, and fender. Also, where the paint is delaminating I am also starting to see small chips on the paint below since the clear coat is gone. I cant believe my car paint is having issues and it only has 51,000 miles on it. It has been stored in a garage for the life of the car.

2020 KIA NIRO- Daly City , CA
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The component that failed was the Hydraulic Clutch Actuator, which is part of the hybrid transmission system. This component was already replaced in May 2024 under recall SC276, but it failed again. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The failure significantly affects the vehicle’s drivability. The most noticeable issue is a loud, explosive-like sound during operation and a slipping sensation, especially when braking at low speeds on city streets. The vehicle feels unstable and difficult to control during these episodes. This creates a serious safety risk for me and for others on the road. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, it was inspected by a Kia dealership authorized by the manufacturer as part of recall SC276 in Colorado. It was later inspected again in February by Kia Serramonte in California for the same issue, but the problem still persists. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, there are currently no warning lights illuminated. However, the vehicle shows abnormal behavior such as jerking, loss of power, and a noise similar to an explosion. These symptoms first appeared before the recall in 2024, and then reappeared in August 2024, just a few months after the repair until now. Due to financial limitations, I was only able to take the vehicle in for service in November 2024, and finally left it at the dealership in February 2025. The so-called “repair” lasted two months, but the dealership refused to take responsibility. I had to pay $3,188 out of pocket, and even after that, nothing was fixed — the vehicle remains defective.

2020 KIA TELLURIDE- Westerly, RI
the center infotainment screen has turned green. sometimes a hazy green, othertimes almost a solid green which affects the back up camera system when you are trying to back up and not hit anyone or anything. I have brought to the dealership and they stated the head unit is defective and needs replacement. I elevated to Kia Customer Care and they stated that because it is out of the 36,000 mile warranty they would not help. I even stated that as car is not a newer car was not asking for a brand new unit, but asked if they would at least put in a cheaper re-manufactured unit due to the safety issue and they denied that as well. I am on the kia telluride forum and multiple other people are having this issue. this is a defective part and as it is related to a safety issue needs to be replaced and covered by KIA. 2021 KIA SOUL- Magnolia, DE
On [XXX] Car stopped during traveling home on [XXX]. Had car towed to Stapleford Auto in St. Georges, Delaware. The mechanic found that the motor had seized. I Called KIA Customer Care and was advised to tow to the KIA dealer in Felton, Delaware. Dealer had the car from 2/26/25 and did not inspect the car until approximately 3/11/25. During the interim I discover a recall for model year 2021 due to faulty piston rings which was shown to cause engine seizures. When contacted by KIA dealer they claimed the problem was due to lack of Maintenace. I have documentation detailing the Maintenace of the car. I have contracted KIA customer care on several occasions stating that Maintenace was done and expected KIA live up to the recall notice. So far, no response. I contacted the Delaware Attorney General, and they told me to contact you folks. KIA Case#: [XXX] I appreciate any assistance in the manner.
