My vehicle's dashboard was melting. I thought it was some kind of condensation. When trying to wope it, sticky gook came off on my papertowel explosing the bottom level.of the dashboard. I went through all the levels all.the way to Corporate Lexus legal in TX as the fumes were making me sick. I am a senior citizens who was not planning on buying another vehicle as I drive very little. After 4 months with no help from Lexus having symptoms of anxiety, confusion, headache and extreme fatigue, I pushed myself to go drive to dealership which was s lot further than I was comfortable driving thr car in that condition. I told them I did not want another Toyota or Lexus so Itraded it in for a larger used vehicle than so I did not gave to drive the Lexus home. I was feeling even worse after the ride yhere and had developed a nagging little cough that does not go away. I also googled my symptoms which sound like Neuroinflammation that could be associated woth a melting dashboard. This has been a horrible experienced for me all around. I have plenty of documentation with Toyota/Lexus.

Hello: I own a 2007 Lexus IS250. My vehicle has had an ongoing engine misfire issue and has run extremely rough. In addition, my SRS light and there is an issue with the driver's side knee air bag inflator connector. Finally, my dashboard, front and rear door panels have been sticky and melted over time when it is hot and there is no reason why this is occurring. The dashboard and door panels become glossy, crack and have broken off into pieces and the shine/gloss from the dashboard causes blinding while driving due to the reflection of the sun on the dashboard. These issues have been going on for a period of over 10 years and I had multiple accidents due to these numerous issues. I have reported these to Lexus corporate on multiple occasions, including in 2016 and 2017. However, Lexus has refused to fix them stating that they are aware of these issues and had the ZLJ, ZLD and ZLA warranty programs but that they had expired in 2017. However, I later found out that none of those programs had expired at the time I called Lexus's corporate office. One of their programs, the ZLD warranty program, was apparently extended until 2021, however, Lexus failed to inform most vehicle owners of this. These issues are a safety issue. They have caused my car to malfunction for over 10 years and to have accidents. Many Lexus owners have also reported about these issues in Lexus owner forums on the internet and have stated that they have had accidents due to these issues, but Lexus failed to properly inform customers of the extended warranty and refused to fix these cars. With these issues continuing and becoming worse over the years, they are no longer a warranty issue, but a safety issue for drivers. I am requesting that the NHSTA investigate this issue and require, if possible, that Lexus issue safety recalls for these known defects and fix these issues immediately to prevent car accidents.

On Saturday XXX, while driving on [XXX] at highway speed, without interior dashboard warning lamps or other warning symptoms both rear tires failed simultaneously & disintegrated creating a potentially catastrophic driving hazard for those with me inside the car as well as others on the Turnpike. This type of failure occurring at the same time on both rear tires with relatively low mileage of 27,680 miles raises concern about a potential defect. The rear tires are the original factory tires. I do have photos + video evidence of the damaged two rear tires which were replaced on Monday ,XXX. I no longer have the damaged tires, however it may be an option to speak with Tire Kingdom. I have attempted resolution immediately following the incident from Lexus of [XXX] as well as Bridgestone. The dealership leadership advised "I should be happy those tires gave you almost 30,000 miles since these OEM tires should be replaced every 15,000 miles." He replaces his own tires every two years. The service manager stated the problem was that I drove over too many potholes & curbs without having my car aligned. He also said he lives two miles from his job & dodges 15 potholes daily going to work. I have already met in person with the service manager & have had multiple conversations & email exchanges with dealership management including Bridgestone. Bridgestone will only deal directly with the dealership. I have provided photographic & video evidence of the tire failures to all. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. Given the severity of the incident & the safety risk involved, I am requesting: Immediate escalation to a regional case manager; A formal inspection & defect evaluation of the failed tires via photos & video; Review for $758.23 reimbursement under warranty or goodwill consideration. Please advise on next steps & confirm that this case has been escalated. I appreciate your prompt attention to this serious matter. Complete loss of hydraulic brake pressure resulting in brake pedal traveling to the floor. Defect: Brake Actuator and Pump Assembly failure Risk: The vehicle has been deemed unsafe to drive by a certified Lexus technician and I was asked to sign a liability waiver to remove vehicle from dealership. Description: While driving my 2010 Lexus HS250h (90,729 miles) I experienced sudden and catastrophic failure of the braking system where the brake pedal traveled completely to the floor, significantly increasing stopping distance. A diagnostic at Lexus dealership confirmed a failed ABS brake actuator and pump assembly. The dealership stated the car is life-threatening unsafe to drive and required a signed liability waiver before I could tow it away. Despite this being a known defect previously addressed in Lexus support program 23LE04, the manufacturer has declined a goodwill repair for this safety critical component.

Purchase Date of LX600: 10/26/2023 Date of Incident: 12/21/2025 While driving home (at about 65 MPH) the vehicle gave an alert on the dash which said Pull Over - Vehicle Losing Power and Shutting Down. Once this alert appeared on the dash, we had approximately 30 seconds to find a safe spot to pull over. The road that this happened on is a one lane road in each direction in a rural zone that is highly traveled by Semi Trucks. Luckily, there was a gravel spot on the road where we were able to stop the vehicle, just in time to avoid a catastrophe. On 12/22 we took vehicle to Lexus of Wesley Chapel where it currently is today. The Service Advisor (Sierra) confirmed this is part of the recall #25V767. Sierra stated she would contact us in 2-3 weeks for the next steps. Once this time passed, no update was provided and we reached out to the dealer again to be told they are still waiting on "corporate" for a response. We were able to get in contact with Israel - who was designated as our case manager from the Lexus Corporate Office on February 6th. He told us the only option we had was to wait an indefinite amount of time - it could be 6 months, a year or more. After this interaction we spoke to various people at the dealer and same answer was given. While everyone we speak to agrees a new engine is needed - no process has begun to fix the car. We are now in May and still not a step closer than I was on that night where I was stranded on the road.

Vehicle: 2008 Lexus ES 350 Issue Description: The dashboard in my vehicle is melting and becoming sticky, causing a reflective glare on the windshield during daylight driving. This significantly impacts visibility and creates a potential safety hazard. The condition worsens with heat and sun exposure. The glare can be severe enough to interfere with safe driving, especially during morning and afternoon sunlight conditions. This issue has been widely reported among Lexus ES models from this generation. Lexus previously acknowledged the defect and offered a limited-time repair program, which has since expired. However, many vehicles are still experiencing the issue. Because this defect affects driver visibility, it should be considered a safety concern rather than a cosmetic issue. I am requesting that this issue be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to require the manufacturer to address the defect. Resulting Safety Concern: Reduced driver visibility due to dashboard glare
