2017 MASERATI LEVANTE- Orange Park, FL
I have owned this car for over 2 years now. It has been plagued with issues with the Stop/Start feature on the car. When I’m in heavy or slow traffic the car will shut off and may not restart like it’s supposed to. It will sometimes shift into neutral or park and I will have to scramble to press the engine start button then shift the car back into drive. This will also happen whenever I’m approaching a yield sign where I may not be making a complete stop. I will be slowing down and the car will go into the stop/start and shut off and may not restart and may not be in drive when I’m basically rolling out into traffic. The Maserati website says that my vehicle was recalled for an issue that it seems like I’m consistently having however Maserati website for checking vin recalls days that my car has been repaired. I’ve complained to the dealer when I took the car in for service and all I get from them is “ Turn the stop/start feature off every time you drive the car”. This is a hassle because I have to scroll to menu #6 to do so. If I’m in a hurry, I may forget. I’m so scared my car is going to kill me. We have had several close calls especially in the yield situations. I feel like something needs to be done. There are other Levante owners in my year that are having the same issue. Maserati has not fixed this problem. It is still happening today. I’m including a picture off of social media that was posted today. I’m not alone here. Please help.

2017 MASERATI GHIBLI- Pasadena, CA
Sitting at at red light with the start/stop system on, as I release the break pedal on a green light, the gear automatically has shifted to park. The car shows no signs that it has turned off or warnings that it has shifted gears on its own. I have to manually change gear to drive to get the car to move. I am aware that the recall was done for this issue but there has been no successful resolution to the problem. The car was taken to Rusnak Pasadena on July 21, 2021 and since they could not duplicate the concern, there was nothing done. The car was then taken to Maserati of Puente Hills as the issue continued. As per the dealership, on their maserati system, it shows that my car did not qualify for their recall and it would not be considered to be a manufacturing issue. This is a major safety concern as it can cause an accident

The car started normally. This vehicle is gas dependent and has a dangerous gas leak. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. It has a safety inspection sticker on it as of May 2022. This safety is a risk throughout our community after being driven and gas spilled in large amounts. The vehicle stopped and had to be manually reconfigured to return to the residence. This is temporary fix. I do not know if this is reproduced problem. We were directed to contact the dealership who fixed or repaired the problems related to Campaign 205. Criswell Maserati of Germantown, Maryland was contacted on 4 August and the Service Departed provided information concerning the repairs to be corrected and no additional repairs related to Campaign 205. This vehicle has been safety inspected at the time of purchased in December 2021. There were not symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. We drove the vehicle from King George, Va to Woodbridge Va without any indicators.
