The driver side seat warmer melted through the leather seat and burnt a hole in my sweater The seat could have got on fire We took the car to Mercedes Benz of Lynnwood where our service advisor, John McDonald took pictures to send to MBenz USA The display panel did not show any error messages or error codes

The vehicle will intermittently go into limp mode with a max speed of 45mph. At a stop vehicle will not accelerate FWD unless transmission is put into park and the vehicle turned off and then re-started. Professional diagnosis suggests the transmission needs to be replaced and this is common for cars with 100k miles or more. Only a Mercedes Authorized Technician with a real time connection to a Mercedes Server can properly perform this task. This is a sub par design that creates a safety hazard. The repair procedure coupled with the frequency of this serious failure makes this vehicle a Lemon. Mercedes Benz Is Totally Responsible.

Panoramic sunroof does not close and roof shades do not close. Mercedes Benz wants $8,000+ to fix it. Then tells us our 2008 is only worth $3500.

2008 V6 Engine Cam Shaft will worn out and check engine light comes on can unable to pass smog for registration renewal. The cost to replace the worn Engine Cam Shaft is about $4-$6K. It is not acceptable to the manufacture to design the vehicle can can have the major part worn out about 100K mile with good maintain of services and regular Service A-D and oil change.

I drove a short distance and started to smell burning, and saw some smoke in the cabin. I immediately pulled over and shut down the car. I called my husband and when he arrived we discovered that my driver's seat back had burned through from the seat heater. Luckily I was not injured and the burning did not spread, I assume because I was able to stop quickly and get out.

The panoramic roof gets stuck in open position and makes the car dangerous for flying objects into the car also I feel more dangerous for my safety and for life. In my car we have repaired the roof several times, again now the roof is stuck in open position. I believe this should be a factory recall issue as this is very marginal and poor design to result in failure so often

Smell Heavy gas smell inside of the vehicle but not in the engine bay. Stronger smell in the back seat. Afraid car my catch fire while driving. Having to drive with windows down so i don't get droggy.

WHEN CAR IS FILLED WITH GAS(FULL) , A GASOLINE ODOR CONSUMES MY GARAGE. WHEN WE OPEN GARAGE ALL YOU CAN SMELL IS GASOLINE. WHEN THE CAR GETS LESS THAN 1/2 TANK, THE FUEL ODOR SUBSIDES. THE CONTACT INITIALLY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY REPLACED THAT CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. DESPITE THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. AFTER THE SECOND FAILURE, THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO INFORMED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY FOR A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. THE MANUFACTURER THEN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF BURLINGTON (80 CAMBRIDGE ST, BURLINGTON, MA 01803) WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THE HAD A DEFECTIVE FUEL TANK AND FUEL PUMP THAT BOTH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT WAS THEN INFORMED THAT SINCE HIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, THE VEHICLE NO LONGER QUALIFIED UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF THE VEHICLE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V303000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED AND REMAINED IN THE DEALER POSSESSION.
