2014 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT- Cottage Grove, MN
In February of 2025 I was driving on the highway and my car stopped accelerating and the “ASC system required” light turned on. The RPM stayed at 4,000-5,000 and my car dropped from 60MPH to 20MPH. I had to drive on the side of the highway 20 minutes home like this. I took the car into a shop and they said the exhaust and catalytic converter was clogged and replaced it. It ran okay after that for about 3 weeks and then the same thing started to happen again. I have had to pull onto the side of the highway about 10-15 times as of writing this to restart my car/drive home going 20-30MPH. I brought it to the Mitsubishi dealership last week and they said I will need a whole new exhaust manifold, muffler, and catalytic converter due to it “being clogged” and quoted me just over 6,000 for it to be fixed even though I just replaced all of this in February. They did not give me an explanation as to why this is happening or explaining what is causing the “ASC system service required” light to go off.

The constant blinking locks up all controls such that you are unable to adjust any of the settings, and the constant beeping is loud enough to cause the driver to be unable to reasonably hear their surroundings and cause annoyance/agitation to the driver. The problem was inspected & diagnosed by Valley Mitsubishi in Longmont, CO. The problem first appeared on [XXX] with the warning light first coming on in the morning and the continuous blinking/beeping/lockup occurring by evening that same day. 2023 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4- Beaufort, SC
This vehicle can not sustain wind less than 15 Miles per hr on a windy day. I was close to being in a very serious highway accident 3 times. Small wind forces will make you loose control in the car. The seats has caused severe back and hip plain because of all the friction from that you feel from highway when driving the vehicle. I had to buy all kinds of padding to sit on to drive vehicle.
