The exhaust flange bolts are prematurely rusting and breaking on the Exhaust system. This is a truck that has less than 30,000 miles and less than 4 years old. This is a common problem but seems to me RAM is using sub par materials in there bolts and they are failing at an earlier than expected time. These parts should be good for at least 80,000 100,000 Miles. These parts should be covered and a recall should be issued for these bolts as they are failing and braking prematurely. Creating a safety hazard as if the exhaust flange bolts break the pipe would hit the ground and create a safety and or accident hazard.

On Thursday 16NOV2024 I noticed the rear sliding window on my 20' Ram had shattered on the drivers side section. The sticker on the back was damaged and appeared burnt. The weather that morning had been 35 degrees and partly cloudy. When I remote started the vehicle at 0700HRS, the rear defrost came on automatically. I drove about 10-15 minutes to work and parked. I returned to my vehicle approximately 10 minutes later and noticed a burning odor but thought it was due to a woodstove used nearby. Later in the day coworkers noticed the sticker was burned. I thought it may be intentional or due to the rear defrost system since the part that is wired and transitions to the heating grid is right under the sticker. We reviewed security footage from when I parked to when it was discovered and noone went near the vehicle. I suspected the defroster had an issue. I stopped at the dealer, my warranty was expired and I have glass coverage but I wanted to make them aware of the issue. The dealer glass rep took photos and said she'd never seen anything like it but would talk to engineers about it. The following day I received a call saying that she showed engineers the damage and was told that the system doesn't have enough voltage or heat to cause that damage and they wouldn't help. I wasn't looking for money, I have full glass/no deductible. I had the glass replaced the following Monday and asked them to save the parts I suspected of failing. I have photos of the part that appears to have failed and overheated causing the damage. I have a concern that worst case, if something had been behind the headrest up against it and the vehicle was in a structure that a fire could have occurred. I followed up with my photos and concerns but never heard back from the dealer. Noone has expressed an interest in seeing the failed part in question and I still have them in my posssesion.

The bolts holding the muffler to the exhaust pipe sheered off. After speaking with multiple dealers it is a known problem using a smaller bolt in the new body model Ram 1500 DT. The smaller bolt can’t handle the heating/cooling and eventually snaps. But this generally occurs just outside of warranty time. With the undersized bolts used by the manufacturer this causes the exhaust pipe to hang freely and risks the potential to cause injury or death with parts falling. There are many cases like this at dealers across the country and more to come. This body model is just coming up on 3-4 years so more trucks are starting to come in with this issue.

The driver side sun visor hinge point is failing. Without warning either when I attempt to fold down the sun visor or sometimes just on it's own it has fallen down out of the roof from the hinge point on the left side that allows you to rotate it to the side window if necessary. If I didn't have my hand on it to immediately lift it back up and from blocking my vision of the road in front of me it could have caused a collision with another vehicle, pedestrian or other object. I can push it back up into the receiver hole in the roof but it remains loose with the potential to fall out again as it has on several occasions. It has not been inspected yet. There are no warning indicators for this problem.

The rear window, window seal, or related components have failed and allow water to intrude into the cabin of my vehicle near the back. This water gets the headliner wet and drips down the interior of the rear window, down the rear of the passenger compartment. This water intrusion occurs with very, very light moisture on the vehicle, such as early mornings with morning dew, light rain, or watching the vehicle. The near-daily (due to dew) intrusion of water into the cabin of my vehicle raises safety concerns of mold & mildew in the passenger compartment. My rear window backlite frame is visibly cracked on the interior, matching the symptom pictured in TSB [XXX]. My vehicle has a manufacturer date within the dates noted in the TSB. My vehicle also includes a power sliding window as noted in the TSB. I've been to two dealerships and they both told me they see this problem in RAM trucks "all the time". Both dealers refused to perform a warranty repair under the extended warranty noted in the TSB (150,000 miles) because my VIN is not associated with the TSB in FCA's system even though my vehicle appears to be described as a vehicle affected. I've attached 2 photos to my report. One photo showing the crack as noted in TSB [XXX]. One photo showing the actual crack in my backlite frame. This appears to be a very prevalent issue with a lot of online discussion from many other affected RAM owners. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Transfer case has failed per dealer inspection and diagnostics. Several lights turned on. Burning smell in/outside of vehicle. Vehicle will jerk from time to time. Parts are apparently on back order for several weeks and I have been told the vehicle is drivable even though transfer case issues / failures can be a serious safety issue.
