The rear backup camera does not work correctly. The picture is of the floor and not the obstacle directly behind the vehicle. Also, the grid lines that assist in parking no longer appear. Yes - this vehicle is available for inspection. It is a safety issue because I do not have a rear window and so I cannot see a person, vehicle or obstacle directly behind me when I am in reverse. I can potentially cause injury to myself or others when I am in reverse. The dealer has seen the problem but will only diagnose the problem for $150. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or anyone else. There was no warning lamp, message or other symptom prior to the failure. The failure appeared right around 36,000 miles just as it was going out of the warranty period.

Prior to receiving recall notice via email I noticed that the van didn’t fully engage being in “park” some of the time. I had to stop it from rolling.

The brakes on this Ram Promaster 2500 failed 100 percent with the pedal going to the floor and not returning upwards. This occurred without warning. The drivers' safety and the safety of cross traffic were at extreme risk. With no brakes, the vehicle crossed through a T intersection and came to an abrupt stop after crossing a ditch and then becoming lodged into a concrete drainage structure. The driver was severely injured and hospitalized. There were no warning lamps or unusual noise coming from the vehicle. The current status of the vehicle is unknown as it was a rental and upon requesting an inspection the vehicle was removed and no access was granted. It is also believed the poor quality driver's seat contributed to the spinal injury of the driver as the seat has no padding and no shock-absorbing capacity and very limited adjustments. Additionally, no airbags were deployed even though the driver's new I-phone 14 pro's SOS feature was enabled, and dialed 911 via satellite due to the abrupt nature of the stop. The contact stated that the correct failure mileage was approximately 38,700 miles.

While driving Highway 95 in Bullhead City, AZ the awning deployed. I heard a very large noise and the BMPro making a noise as if the awning button was being pressed. I was in the middle lane of the 3 lane hwy and immediately pulled over to the right. My friend removed it on scene and put it in the van. 1. 12 Jan drove it to California. Turned in my van and awning to [XXX], Santa Fe Springs, CA on 13 January. I haven’t heard from the dealership but have a lot of email correspondence from the manufacturer, Thor. I don’t know what they did with the part. Mileage was 7,740 miles. I opened the awning once at my house right after I bought it. It’s never been opened since. 2. I could have been injured or died if it would have hit something or someone else and I would have been traveling at a higher rate of speed. Others driving could have been injured or died and at the very least a great deal of property damage. 3. I have no idea what Mike Thompson Dealership did when I dropped it off. My service advisor said they were going to have the local Thor Rep look at it to determine if it was under warranty. After service Rep told me this, I contacted Thor and described what happened and the lady said it was absolutely covered under warranty. I have been in email contact with Thor and have all the emails between us but can’t figure out how to get them in this report. 4. I don’t know when and if the local Thor Rep reviewed the damage. Dealership has not communicated with me. 5. Absolutely no warning this would happen. Like I said, as it was happening and when I pulled over, the sound of the awning deploying was coming from the BMPro. As a side note… this incident has given me PTSD feeling like I cannot trust that this will not happen again and that I might not be so lucky next time.
