2021 TOYOTA CAMRY Complaints

The contact owns a 2021 Toyota Camry. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V865000 (AIR BAGS); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that occasionally the sensors activated while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the parts to do the repair were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown. The transmission on this vehicle has a delayed shifting between 1st and 2nd gears when accelerating. I am concerned that there is a transmission issue happening.

I started to get the ringing noise I do not have my seatbelt buckled and the SRS Airbag warning started popping up. I learned after taking my car in for service it is due to the recall related to the sensor under my passenger seat.

The contact's wife owns a 2020 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that on several occasions when the vehicle was turned off, the rear doors failed to unlock manually or by using the remote, from the inside or outside the vehicle. The contact stated that on one occasion, the contact had to climb through the passenger’s side rear window to exit the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Manufacturer Recall Number23TB15 NHTSA Recall Number23V865 Toyota still does not have a remedy for this recall. It’s dangerous to have passengers in my vehicle and I haven’t been able to have anyone ride with me for almost 1 year.

When turning on the ac while driving the Master Warning Light comes on along with Engine Maintenance Required flashing across screen. It seems the Engine Coolant Bypass Valvue is faulty. I am in the process of getting the vehicle fixed.
