2017 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Brooks, GA
The front braking system on my 2017 Triumph Thruxton R has excessive brake lever travel that has gotten progressively worse. This has resulting in 'double pumping' the front brake lever to achieve adequate braking power, which in an emergency situation may not be possible. The brakes have been maintained at the appropriate intervals, new brake pads have not solved the issue. The brakes have been thoroughly bled out per the manufacturer's procedure.

2019 TRIUMPH TIGER 1200 XRX- Barrington, RI
front brake failure/malfunction resulting in loss of control and accident. no inspection by dealer or others at this point. No warning lamps appeared only symptom was unanticipated braking performance the last 7-10 days. Issue reported to dealer on 10-22 and inspection appointment made. application of front brake lever failed to slow motorcycle. Additional pressure on lever resulted in over-braking and herky, jerky motion of front wheel creating loss of control, accident and injury. It appears that similar problems have been reported and a recall issued.

2020 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE- Franklin, MA
I bought the bike new in June 2021. Since new, The front brake, on first pull, has limited effect, it needs to be pumped using several pulls to have the expected power. I had the dealer look at it, they agreed and bled the brakes which fixed the problem for a couple of days, then it reverted to the same poor operation. I was accepting of it until the other day; a car pulled in front of me, I had to emergency stop and nearly got the car - the little bit of time to pump the brakes up is potentially impactful. These are brembo brakes, they should work better than nearly anything around. Brief background; this is my 17th bike, been riding for 40+ years and have never encountered this issue on past machines.

2022 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE RR- Adel, IA
The contact owns a 2022 Triumph Speed RS 1200. The contact stated while driving at 35-40 MPH and approaching a curve, the brake pedal was depressed and both the front and rear wheel inadvertently locked. The motorcycle rolled over and crashed into the pavement and the contact was knocked unconscious. There were no warning lights illuminated. A police report was not filed. The contact did not immediately seek medical assistance, however, when he went to the hospital, he was informed he had sustained fractured ribs, a fractured sternum, punctured lungs, and a concussion. The contact was still undergoing treatment. The dealer was notified of the failure and the motorcycle was towed to the contact's residence, then it was taken to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the failure as a computer fault that caused a traction control, ABS and inertia failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was still negotiating compensation for the damage caused by the failure. The motorcycle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 1,300.

2021 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE R- Vancouver, WA
This motorcycle has a button controlled LED information display on the left handlebar. The buttons scroll through trip time, average MPG, instant MPG, odometer, trip distance, and range to empty. I need this information to ride safely. I have experienced a failure of this system whenever I have ridden approximately 50 miles or one hour. At that point, the display freezes on whichever element is currently displayed and cannot be changed. I was an hour from home when this first happened and needed to ride home with only the odometer displayed. i have taken the bike back to the Dealer who has not been able to replicate the failure during short test rides. However, the Dealer's technician did see the frozen display when he came to my house to pick up the bike one time. It had unfrozen by the time he got it back to their shop. The system is made up of two elements: the switch element on the left handlebar and the basic computer which generates the information. The dealer has replaced the computer but not the switch box. The problem has not been solved. I would like for them to next replace the switch and display panel on the left handlebar.

2016 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Mexico City , TX
Very time I push the front breaks, it feel spongy. First push the leveler goes almost all way down. It becomes more firm once you push it two or three time more, however, it vanishes after that. I took it to the dealer but they said that the breaks are working good. I have also changed the break fluid and bled the system according to the maintenance schedule but it has not worked at all. I have read on Triumph groups that this has been existing problems on Thruxton and speed triple models between 2016-2020. However, Thriumph hasn’t published a recall for it. It has been a serious safety problem on my bike. Fortunately, I have not had a serious accident but I had some close calls. I am writing from Mexico City, Mexico. Thanks and regards

2016 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Los Angeles, CA
Front brake lever has an issue wherein it is soft and requires multiple pulls or deploys to full engage resulting in both inconsistent and unsafe operation. It has been ongoing and apparently widespread with other owners and not something repair shops have been able to localize or remedy.

2016 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Penn Valley, PA
I have had this motorcycle since new in 2016 and have put 20,000 miles on it. It has for most of its life had a problem with the brembo front brakes where they do not fully engage until you pump the brake lever twice. I had taken it to the dealer multiple times while under warranty and had the brake fluid replaced and bled multiple times. While inititially the new fluid helps, nothing seems to be a permanent fix and the problem returns. More recently I had the front brake calipers disassembled, cleaned, fluids changed and it is still just as bad as ever. I had to replace the stock brake lever with one that is adjustable to get more leverage so that the brake lever does not bottom out against the handlebar. When that happens you need to quickly pump the brakes to actually stop. It can be very scary. The service manager at my local Triumph dealer apologized that they were not able to make the brakes work properly. Also with very inconsistent brake response it can be challenging to properly judge stopping distances and required reaction times.

2016 TRIUMPH THRUXTON- Fairfield, CA
The front brake lever first pull has always been soft, since the motorcycle was new. The second pull is firm and as one would expect. I brought the motorcycle to the dealer where I purchased it and had them inspect the brakes and perform a bleed operation, which I had to pay for. The technician found nothing wrong and there was no change in the first brake pull. This issue remains to the present day.

2020 TRIUMPH ROCKET III ROADSTER- Fairview Park, OH
2020 issues: Within 500 miles of ownership, front brake goes out, dealer bleeds, one week later same thing happens, then they warrantied a new brake master cylinder. Next in about 1000 miles the rear brake starts becoming soft (this is before the rear brake recall) Dealers bleeds... same issue again with the pedal becoming soft. I give up and ride the bike until winter. 2021 issues: Rear brake recall gets performed this year, as the rear brake had alot of air in it from sitting over the winter... how the [XXX] does a rear brake bleed (this is the recall fix) correct this issue after sitting for 6 months over winter... There must be a different problem. Air doesn't just magically appear in the brake system unless there's a issue, there was quite a few people saying the same thing after winter, the rear brake just went down to the floor with no pressure... about a month later the rear shaft drive starts making all sorts of noise... dealer replaces under warranty. This bike should be deemed unsafe with all the brake issues and shaft drive issue. If there's anyway this can be considered a lemon in the state of Ohio please contact me. I'm tired of getting the run around. Front brake has been solid since the fix. Rear brake is still [XXX] and the rear shaft was not fixed.
