While accelerating and decelerating, there is a low popping noise that comes from under the floor of the car. It sounds like metal reacting to a change in temperature when it pops, like if you pour hot water into a metal sink. This has been a consistent issue for over a year, and despite the dealerships attempts to fix the issue by replacing the sway bar and tightening the suspension and upper and lower control arms, the noise persists during acceleration and deceleration. The dealership was able to reproduce the issue when we have taken it in. There are no warning lights associated with this issue. If this issue is related to the battery or to the breaks, it could be a serious safety problem. We've taken it in for this issue 4 times and we'll take it in again this week, and the dealership has held the car for over two weeks total to try to fix it.

It appears that the wiring was chewed by a rodent. It also looks like it could be a case of the wiring rubbing on the vehicle and exposing the hv wire.

It is very easy to inadvertently touch the "SET" button for the cruise control. The button is capacitive so a very light touch activates the button, and it is on the outer edge of steering wheel spoke, meaning a light brush while turning the wheel activate the button. When maneuvering at slow speeds (such as in a parking lot) this results in the car accelerating, uncommanded, and without warning, up to the minimum speed of the cruise control.

Cruise control / resume cruise can inadvertently be activated due to the haptic touch pads on the steering wheel. On multiple occasions when exiting a highway after using cruise control and while turning the steering wheel, my hand inadvertently brushes against the RESUME haptic touch pad, causing the vehicle to immediately speed up to my last preset cruise speed. This is a constant issue as I use my vehicle daily for work purposes, and has caused multiple near-accidents. Per my dealer, Volkswagen does not have a fix for this. This is a non-issue in my other VW vehicle, as it has button instead of haptic touch on the steering wheel. Haptic touch should not be on a steering wheel.

The speed indication that syncs with posted speed limits does not work, it either posts an incorrect speed or no speed at all. VW indicated this only affects some vehicles and they have no fix. It’s extremely dangerous if I see the limit as 70 mph on the car and then 1 mile later see a sign indicating I’m in a 35 mph zone

I have been experiencing multiple issues with my vehicle. The backup camera frequently fails to respond, and the doors often do not open properly or get stuck. A significant concern is that the car does not hold a full charge, which severely impacts its range and reliability. I have brought these problems to Volkswagen on numerous occasions, but the most serious issue has recently emerged: the car has started stopping unexpectedly while driving. This is extremely dangerous and could potentially lead to an accident. It is a major safety concern that requires immediate attention.
