Brakes do not work at random times. You go to stop and the brake pedal depresses all the way to the floor with the vehicle not stopping at all. This happens at random times, not all the time. The dealer said that they could not find anything wrong with it.

The rear passenger door got stuck and did not open while we were inside. My son tried to open it and it was just stuck. The other 3 doors in the car opened fine. I locked and unlocked/turned the child locks on and off/ turned the car on and off and nothing would open the door from the interior. My son was stuck. I recorded 3 minutes of all these things going on. Finally, I could open the door from the outside of the car. The door has been malfunctioning (not closing, opening on its own, or getting stuck) since I purchased the vehicle 18 months ago. The dealer initially refused to inspect bc they could not replicate but I started taking videos. One month ago they had replaced the latch and other components but it did not fix the problem. The car is back in service.

I have a Volkswagon ID4 that has the screen power go off while you are driving, VW says they have no idea when they will have a fix it, but they are aware. The safety features, including the emergency call, don't work, and no airbag lights come on either, everything appears to be disabled. On the highway this happens whenever with no warning. I do have videos of some of the incidents. Lane keep assist Etc does not work. It is 10 months old with 3k miles due to being afraid to drive it.,

My car popped up a messaging stating “Electrical system not working correctly. Please service vehicle.” I called in for service and the dealer told me that the message was not urgent as it was a yellow message and that they would not be able to get me in until Tuesday. I continued to drive the car and the message would come and go for two days. On the last day, I got the message and heard an electrical whirring noise when pressing the accelerator. Then the sound and message went away. Later that evening when charging, the fans were running extremely loud so I got the car out of my garage to avoid it catching fire. I called VW who said that I could drive it to the dealer. I left my house and the car popped up the message and then said it was disabling functions. It never said to pull over. Then a turtle popped up and my speed was dropped to 45 mph. I was on a highway at the time and turned around to head back home. Then it dropped my speed to 25. Right after doing that it came to a stop in the middle of the road. It never said to pull over or avoid driving it either but I was stranded in the road. A few minutes later all the messages disappeared and it started driving normally. I made it home and called for a tow truck.

The contact owns a 2023 Volkswagen ID.4. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V344000 (Back Over Prevention, Equipment, Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the instrument cluster screen went blank. The contact pulled over and turned off and restarted the vehicle and the instrument cluster became operable. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was rebooting as if the vehicle had been started and was stuck in a reboot loop before eventually regaining normal functionality. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and occurred at various speeds. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who checked the software version and informed the contact that the software was up to date; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact took the vehicle to the same dealer after receiving the recall notification and was informed that the software patch to repair the issue was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

    - The front passenger door unlatched at speed while driving around 30 mph. The vehicle is currently with a Volkswagen dealership and is confirmed and replicated. - The safety of the passenger seated in the front passenger seat is at risk if the door were to fully open, as well as any objects in the door’s way. - The problem HAS been reproduced or confirmed by a Volkswagen dealership in June 2024 and had the affected door handle replaced. - The vehicle and component has NOT been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. - There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, only after the door was opened was there a notification (chime and message) of an open door.

Was stationary in dense traffic, all waiting for a local bridge to open. We had been waiting for 10 or so minutes. Had braked and stopped close to car in front, car in Auto Hold. All of a sudden, my car accelerated quickly into stationary car in front, twice I believe, before I was able to brake and turn car off. I do not know why this happened or whether there were any warnings. Affected my car, car in front of me, and car in front of them. No one hurt, my car front rather damaged, perhaps $12,000+, car in front damaged front and rear. We were able to drive away, but my car not safe to drive. Is currently parked and waiting to be towed once collision shop space is available. I have not taken to dealer to test as is not safe to drive. No one has inspected in person yet.

Upon stoping the vehicle, unlatching the seatbelt and with the ignition off you need to pull the door handle 2 to 5 times before the door opens to allow you to exit. The vehicle never allows exiting on one pull. Dealer said no problem found and it’s operating normally but this is a daily occurrence.
