Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2020-2022 GLE450

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020-2022 GLE450, GLS450, 2021-2022 AMG GLE53, 2020-2021 GLE580, GLS580, 2021 AMG GLE63, Maybach GLS600 and AMG GLS63 vehicles. A ground cable bolt for the 48V ground connection under the front passenger seat may not be secured properly, which can cause the electrical cable to overheat.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 21,306 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020-2022 GLE450, GLS450, 2021-2022 AMG GLE53, 2020-2021 GLE580, GLS580, 2021 AMG GLE63, Maybach GLS600 and AMG GLS63 vehicles. A ground cable bolt for the 48V ground connection under the front passenger seat may not be secured properly, which can cause the electrical cable to overheat.
Consequeces:: An overheated electrical cable can increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and tighten the ground cable bolt, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 8, 2022. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2022040017.

AMENDMENT TO ACTIVE CASE 11723015. CRITICAL AIRBAG & SAFETY DEFECTS. This files a safety defect amendment to open case 11723015. Diagnostic scans confirm central data bus network collapse on VIN [XXX] has migrated into safety-critical occupant restraint and visibility modules, violating 49 U.S.C. § 30118. I. AIRBAG & RESTRAINT HAZARDS Scans from [XXX], document active faults: DTC U042782: "Implausible data received from Electronic Ignition Lock." The SRS module receives corrupted data from the failed ignition gateway, creating risk of airbag non-deployment. DTC B007A13: Passenger seatbelt pre-tensioner open circuit; occupants are unprotected against crash displacement. DTC B11FA4B: Active "Overtemperature" faults in heating elements indicate localized thermal short-circuit risk. II. HARDWARE DECAY Physical teardown confirmed structural oxidation on the central gateway motherboard and corroded connector pins. Modular swaps failed; network lock code U016887 returned within 8 months. Raw dealer records are available for federal inspection. 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLS 580 4MATIC Complaints
The fuel rail system failed on the passenger side of the engine and leaks. This is the same issue seen on, but VIN number isn't apart of it: Campaign No. : 2022030003 CA DMV. : 220303 NHTSA ID 21V961 I have taken the vehicle to a Mercedes dealer twice for the concern of smelling gas. The second time I had a video but the service tech couldn't replicate the leak. This safety concern pose a great risk as the gas could come into contact with a hot surface and ignite but passenger at HIGH risk. The problem has taken to the dealer twice with video showing the leak., however they cannot reproduced confirmed/replicate it. No the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the police, insurance representatives or others? But has been taken to the dealership, not the manufacturer. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?Just when it leaks there is a strong gas smell as well as a visual of where the leak is coming from.;

The sunroof exploded this morning while cruising on I-5 in the carpool lane. Nothing hit it, and there was nothing above us when it happened. It was overcast this morning, so I had considered opening the shade. It is good I did not, as we would have had glass in our faces/eyes!;
2021 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLS63 Complaints
48V battery has repeated failures where I'm driving. safety concern, When it fail, it will pop up warning1) only drive below 50 miles/hour; then it becomes2) stop vehicle immediately; then ) multi-media system suddenly shut off while I'm driving. I tested by 48V battery which only has below 60% health. with 4 error code all related to V48 battery and management system: B183214; B183216; B183217; B183371; 48V battery is under Emission control component warranty which has 5 years/50000miles in Federal for MediumDutyVehicle and 7 years/80000 in WA state. My car is listed as MediumDutyVehicle in Mercedes service book. Mercedes refused to replace my unhealthy battery. Mercedes Charging me diagnosis fees for failure of V48 Battery. this should be waived since the part is under warranty Mercedes refused to provide battery health report to me even I explicitly asked from them, they just cleared the code and told me my battery is fine;
2021 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE 580 Complaints
My Mercedes GLE 580 experienced a complete failure of the 48V battery system due to the exact defect outlined in NHTSA Recall Campaign 24V207 (defective 48V ground connection causing high resistance and fire risk). The official status for my VIN shows 'Recall Incomplete.' The vehicle is currently at Mercedes-Benz of Barrington. The dealership is actively refusing to remedy this safety recall under warranty and is attempting to charge me $5,313 out of pocket for the battery replacement. Furthermore, the dealership refuses to submit the correct diagnostic error code (B183371) to my extended warranty provider to block coverage. My family has been left completely stranded without transportation for 7 days, and the manufacturer refuses to provide a loaner vehicle while the vehicle is unsafe to drive due to this fire hazard recall.;
