EVENFLO ALL4ONE Complaints

When the car seat is reclined in the proper recline position for my child’s weight (level 3) it doesn’t lock in place. By the time, I buckle my child in and tighten the straps it is back in (level 1) and clicks in place. I have tried placing a towel under it per the manual and it still didn’t help with the sliding.

My daughter is 20 months old and I thought it was a fluke but not she 100% know how to unbuckle the chest clip. We will be driving down the road and she will undo the chest clip and wiggle out of her seat. I have reached out to Evenflo and got no help. Yesterday alone we were in the car for 2 hours and she continuously would unbuckle and try climbing out while driving. She isn't old enough to understand not to do that or comprehend why

The base of the car seat which has recline positions that must be set depending on the weight of the child and whether they are rear or forward facing is faulty. The recline does not lock in place, causing the car seat to slip into an unsafe recline position with any movement of the vehicle or the child in the car seat.

The recline feature does not lock into place on the base. This puts my child into the "red zone" for his size. I have reached out to Evenflo and they simply offered a 50% off a different carseat. There are multiple complaints online about this and I truly believe it is a safety issue for children.

The seat would not lock into place on recline 3 causing the seat to shift as I properly strapped my child into the seat. As it shifted it would shift into recline 2 which was not the proper recline the level that the seat needed to be in based on his weight.

The car seat cannot be safely anchored into the car. The anchors do not tighten enough to keep the car seat from sliding backwards. The straps do not tighten enough to have a snug fit for child. When the straps are tightened, the car seat slides backward to an unsafe reclining position. The entire car seat slides. The back of the car seat, headrest/removable backing is loose. Even with it “secured” by the locking mechanism it can move side to side an inch. Also it shakes while driving. I am a mother of 3 and my husband is a firefighter trained in car seat installation. We both cannot find a way to securely and safely install this car seat into either of our vehicles. Please, if you do not go by my request alone, look into the reviews for this car seat. While I would like my money back, I more importantly would like this car seat off the shelves so a child is not killed in an accident because this car seat is not able to be secured.

The contact owns an Evenflo Safety Seat, Model Number: 25809409, Model Type: All4One Sensor Safe, Manufactured Date: October 2021. The contact stated that the car seat was being used in a 2012 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving from a complete stop with her son asleep in the car seat in the middle rear seat, the head of her son would drop down. Additionally, the contact stated that the part that was designed to lock the car seat in a designated rear facing position, would slide back down, causing the car seat to lean backward or forward. The car seat was not replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.

The contact owns an Evenflo Car Seat, Model Number: 36412429, Model Type: Nurturemax, Manufactured Date: Nov 02, 2022. The contact stated when the car seat was assembled during the cold weather, the right harness buckle snapped. The contact believed that the plastic harness buckle had fractured due to the cold temperature. The part was not replaced or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.

*I have two All4Ones - submitting second complaint for second car seat* The All4One car seat by Evenflo has a major design flaw in its recline feature. The recline positions outside of 1 and 6, slide out of place even though it is clicked into a numbered position. Despite the seat being secured into position, pushing down slightly on the seat or under normal driving conditions the seat comes out of recline positions and travels into different numbered positions, usually down to 1. There is no way to secure the seat from moving out of position. This issue became known to me when my twin daughters had reached the weight range for recline position 2. I have two All4Ones and both of them do the exact same thing. I would drive to my destination only to see the seat had shifted back into position 1. I would click it into position 3 and by the end of the drive it would be back in position 1. This is truly a catastrophic design flaw that will cause injury and potentially worse. I don’t feel comfortable having my two daughters riding in this seat. This needs to be investigated and recalled. Many parents outside of myself are having similar issues, reviews on Amazon, Walmart, Reddit etc. I have video that I can provide, which shows the issue with these car seats. I am currently in communication with Evenflo but have not yet figured out what the outcome will be.
