Tire size P255/55R20. I purchased 4 new tires February 2023 from Jim Dobson Ford in Winamac, In. I've taken my car back there at least 4 if not 5 times because of vibration. I finally took my car to a different facility and they showed me where 2 of my tires that was in the rear are separating and need replaced. I feel these tires was defective from the start, my car was like riding on air before I purchased these tires. They was supposed to be a 65,000 mile tire, they have 40,000 miles on them. I tired to utilize the warranty but the manager at Jim Dobson will not file warranty on them because he said Bridgestone will not honor warranty. These tires are a safety hazard, I have parked my car until I can get different tires put on them

LT275/65R20 126/123R M+S Bridgestone Dueler A/T Without warning the tread explosively separated at normal highway speed of 70 MPH while driving straight in the morning with an approximate outdoor temperature 75 degrees or less. The truck immediately and uncontrollably swerved into the left passing lane nearly causing vehicle to turn completely sideways. Gained control of vehicle and pulled to side of the road. The tire tread had separated but the tire still retained air pressure making it possible to slow safely into road curb lane. Extensive truck damage occurred to fender, wheel well internal to engine compartment and the front bumper. Amazing that it ruined the front bumper. The tires were recently rotated and inspected by Discount Tire. There were no warnings, symptoms, messages or indications of any kind that the tire was defective. These tires will be replaced today. Fortunately I was not killed in this extreme failure.

235/65/R17 Bridgestone Dueler Alenza Plus Right Passenger Tire Saturday, [XXX] approx [XXX] with 6 people (4 were children in carseats) in the vehicle traveling North on [XXX] between exits [XXX] and [XXX] in Middle Lane. Traveling at a speed of 65mph. Driver pulled over safely to shoulder because the 2013 Honda Odyssey Minivan made a loud flapping sound on right rear of vehicle. Driver got out to check and returned to car saying tire had a blowout. With hazard lights flashing driving in slow lane we exited freeway and pulled into the Safeway parking lot to access the damage. A large strip of tire on the inside was hanging off the tire as the tread had separated from the main part of the tire. Driver changed the tire to the donut. Damaged tire was placed in a bag in the rear well of the trunk. Photos were taken of faulty damaged tire. The tire had peeled an inner section of tread off the tire with no warning. America's Tire Rep in Turlock, CA today; August 25, 2025 stated the damaged tire should have blown completely causing more damage and possible injuries. The vehicle is still new and has not been taken offroad other than a few boring unpaved roads. It has never hit any significant pothole. The tires still have the original OEM tire pressure, I have never removed or added air to them. At the time of the incident the tire pressure was 39psi and the temperature outside was about 80F. I was driving on the highway at about 75mph with cruise control. I started feeling a strange slight lateral instability then we heard a strong noise and we thought we had a helicopter on top of us or maybe that something else was loose in the car. As I was stopping in the shoulder it became clear that it was a tire problem as we saw pieces of tire flying off. Thankfully we were able to stop safely. Then it became clear what happened: the tire external sidewall just exploded with absolutely no reason. There was no pothole, no sudden braking or cornering. It just decided to explode. The car behaved very well given the gravity of the situation, but I lost trust in the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 245/75R17 tires that came with it. I'm no tire expert, but the broken tire sidewall construction seems very flimsy to me. This tire has no steel on the sidewall and it looks like the polyester threads is not appropriate and may even be missing in some areas. I took a large number of photos to what is left of the tire.

BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA 275/55R20 Tire sustained rapid and 100% complete airloss while driving on the highway. There were no warnings received via the vehicle tire pressure monitor system until over an hour later after the faulty tire had been changed. This is a brand new vehicle which I had only been driving for a couple of weeks. Personally only contributing to a couple hundred miles on the vehicle. There is no damage to the tire such as a puncture or foreign object. There had been no event leading up to this such as a pothole, a curb, etc.. There are multiple visible indents along the sidewall of the tire. The tire was inspected and viewed in person by roadside assistance technician as well as one dealership manager in addition to photos that were sent to home dealership and observed by manager and service manager.
