GOODYEAR WRANGLER SRA TIRES Complaints

On March 14 2026 i was driving from [XXX] . To [XXX] to have my tires checked because i felt a strong vibration on my steering column and truck itself, it was getting worse so i took it to my mechanic who does my regular maintenance on truck. After inspecting tire ( [XXX] 55 R20) was called over and shown that my front passenger side tire had a flat spot, it looked deformed mechanic informed me that the tire had separated from radial. And i need to get another tire right away, since there was non in stock we did the next best thing we took the front passenger tire the affected tire put it in the back and put the rear good tire up front. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . I managed to take control of truck doing about 40 mph at the time and drove it off the road to a safer spot to look at damage. Well the passenger rear tire witch was originally on the front that had the separated radial blew a chunk out of the inner sidewall. I put on the spare and went and replaced the tire with another goodyear new tire. On march 28 as i was coming home from [XXX] late at night the driver side rear tire blew as well again had to put on spare and next day took to local mechanics in [XXX] , and checked tire and again i was told that the tire separated from radial and that was the cause of blew out, they inspected all the tires at this point since this was the second tire from the same DOT set with less then 12000 miles that had separated. Well they found a third tire that had aldo separated and had a flat spot on driver side front tire, now there are 3 tires from the same set, coincidence, i dont think so i replaced the second and third tire. One the third day April 1, 2026 the passenger side front tire blew as well, now i have 4 tires that had radial separation with less then 12000 miles and less then a year old, in a mater of a month. Tire size LT265/60R20. Left rear tire separated while driving at highway speed. Stopped along the freeway after feeling vibration not associated with road. This is the second separated tire on the same vehicle. First tire, the right rear, separated driving at highway speed 1 year ago.

I was driving down a road with no load on the truck at about 35 mph. The front tire blew out. Stopped immediately. The tire had torn all the way across the tread from outside of wheel to inside of wheel. See attached pics. I had a former goodyear employee look at it and he said he thought it was defective. If this had happened at higher speed could have been very bad, could have killed me or others. As it was the tire caused over $2000 damage to the truck - inner fender well and fender etc...These were original tires that came on the truck new had about 31,000miles on them. Still have the tire and it can be inspected.

While traveling on a paved state maintained road at approximately 45-50 miles per hour, the driver side front tire on my 2017 RAM 1500 exploded. The condition of the road at the time was clear and there were no foreign objects laying in the lane of travel. Upon the tire exploding, I was immediately pulled left into the opposing lane of traffic. No injuries or crash were reported during this incident, however had my rate of speed been higher, lack of driving skills, or oncoming traffic, the results could have proved to be fatal. After finding a safe location off of the travelled roadway, I replaced the faulty tire with a spare. I observed damage to my inner fender liner as a result of the explosion. The tire has not been inspected by the police, insurance company, or the manufacturer. No warning lamps or other indicators provided notification of any problems prior to the incident. The faulty tire in question is Identified as a Goodyear Wrangler SR-A, P275/60R20. This tire is an original installation from the vehicle manufacturer and has been in service for 20,300 miles. This particular tire blew out in a straight line fashion across the tread section of the tire from sidewall to the opposite sidewall. This is the first time that I have ever reported a safety matter, however due to the unique circumstances of the failure of this tire, I feel that this matter should be investigated and this tire removed from service. I have conducted internet searches and found other consumers have experienced the exact same tire failure scenario. I will be replacing all four Gooodyear tires on my RAM truck tomorrow with a completely different manufacturer. The tire can be retained for inspection if necessary, although it will be disposed of if no such request is received.

All 4 tires have cracks at or near the bead and getting worse. 22655 miles on the tires that were factory installed at truck purchase. P27560R20. Rotated every 8000 miles and pressure is checked weekly to maintain inflation.

While driving my vehicle I began to notice a severe shake. Upon pulling over I found the driver rear tire tread had separated and bulged to were the inner part of tread bulged about 12 inches long and approximately 2-3 inches higher than the rest of the tread. It happened a second time to the passenger rear tire in the same manner a little over 1000 miles later. Approximately 21,000 miles. Both times the vehicle shook violently. Each instance I had to purchase a new tire out of my pocket. Lt 265/60r20

FELT A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL AFTER GETTING TIRES ROTATED ON THE TRUCK. MY HUSBAND FOLLOWED ME IN OUR OTHER VEHICLE AND VERIFIED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS BOUNCING AS TRUCK WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. TOOK TRUCK BACK TO DISCOUNT TIRE IN JACKSONVILLE, FL THEY REMOVED AND INSPECTED THE TIRE AND FOUND A BULGE IN THE TREAD OF THE TIRE. SPARE WAS INSTALLED ON THE TRUCK WHILE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED UNDER ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY THAT WAS PURCHASED WITH THE TIRE.

TOOK THE TRUCK INTO GET THE TIRES ROTATED AND THE TECHNICIAN FOUND A BULGE IN THE TIRE TREAD OF ONE OF THE REAR TIRES ON THE TRUCK. SPARE WAS INSTALLED ON THE TRUCK WHILE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED UNDER ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY THAT WAS PURCHASED WITH THE TIRE.

TOOK THE TRUCK INTO GET THE TIRES ROTATED AND THE TECHNICIAN FOUND A BULGE IN THE TIRE TREAD OF ONE OF THE REAR TIRES ON THE TRUCK. SPARE WAS INSTALLED ON THE TRUCK WHILE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED UNDER ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY THAT WAS PURCHASED WITH THE TIRE.

LEFT REAR TIRE ON RAM 2500 MEGACAB BLEW WHILE TOWING A WILDCAT 312BHX 5TH WHEEL ON 7/25/2020 AT 4:30 PM ON I 26 W IN SC ABOUT 1 MILE WEST OF EXIT 72. TRAVELING AT 65 MPH, TIRE WAS INFLATED TO 78 PSI AND NO ALARM RECEIVED FROM TPMS SYSTEM PRIOR TO TIRE BLOW OUT, FELT A WEIRD VIBRATION IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE TIRE BLEW. THE BLOW OUT CAUSED $5817.45 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK, NOT INCLUDING THE COST OF NEW TIRES. NO ADDITIONAL ACCIDENT HAPPENED BECAUSE WE WERE ABLE TO PULL SAFELY OFF THE INTERSTATE ONTO THE SHOULDER AND REMOVE ANY LARGE DEBRIS PIECES FROM THE INTERSTATE.
