STARFIRE STARFIRE SOLARUS TIRES- Marion, IL
After an Interstate highway drive and when then discovering my tire had been punctured by a screw or other object, but with still enough air in the tire to drive to a tire repair facility, I drove to have the puncture repaired. On repairing the puncture of the 185/65R15 tire, the repairman observed a portion of the tire’s steel belt to be visible on the inside of the tire. An immediate replacement of the tire was recommended, but this facility did not have an identical tire to provide. The facility emailed me a picture of the protruding steel belt. This writer has twice reported the matter to the tire’s manufacturer, but still no response since the first report on 09/24/2024. No party other than the tire repair facility has inspected the tire. This writer has recognized no noticeable effect of the defect, but the repair facility stated it could cause a blowout at any time.

Starfire Solarus AS All-Season 225/60R16 98H- Car started shaking violently while I was driving it- seemed to be coming from rear tire. Limped it home, removed driver side rear tire, and noticed substantial bulge where tread was separating. Replaced tire with another brand. Several months later, same thing happened, and removed the remaining Starfire Solarus AS All-Season 225/60R16 98H tire, the passenger side rear tire, and noticed same defect. I bought both tires Mar 15, 2021 on Amazon, but have driven car very little. Unfortunately the shop that installed them didn't note mileage on receipt but the tread looks brand new (other than the defect). Looked at amazon and noticed other customers reporting the same defect! [XXX] I think these tires are very dangerous and are going to cause somebody to get injured or worse, especially since both tires are affected by defects and other consumers are reporting the exact same issue on amazon reviews. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

STARFIRE SOLARUS AS TIRES- Pleasant Grove, AL
Due to the negligence of Pep Boys service department, the wrong size tires were placed on my car. This has led to My warranty for my transmission being denied related to an unauthorized modification(that I was unaware of). This has caused me undue stress, headaches, out-of-pocket expenses, and chest pain. As of now,I have not received a response for replacement tires for my 2019 kicks. Pep Boys technician placed an incorrect-size tire on my car which resulted in a modification that resulted in my warranty not covering my transmission. I am requesting this issue be corrected. 225/50R17 should have been 205/55R17

STARFIRE STARFIRE SOLARUS TIRES- Washington, DC
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Camry equipped with Starfire Tires, Tire Line: Solarus A/S, Tire Size: 215/60/R16, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle wobbled due to all four tires losing air. The contact purchased a compressor to constantly add air to all four tires. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that there was a nail in the front driver's side tire, and the mechanic patched the front driver's side tire. The vehicle was then taken to a Goodyear service center, and it was determined that the front driver's side tire had a cut in the tread. The technician replaced the front driver's side tire and adjusted the air pressure in all four tires; however, the failure recurred with all four tires losing air. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,800.

STARFIRE SOLARUS AS TIRES- Nottingham, MD
Tire size: 215 / 50 R 17 While driving on a highway, a tire pressure warning appeared. Shortly after, theTPMS malfunction light came on and immediately the driver side rear tire blew out. My car spun 360 degrees and I managed to bring it to a stop. Luckily the cars behind me slowed down while I maneuvered to the curb. I was on a drawbridge and I could have driven off of it into the water below. The tread of the tire completely separated from the side walls of the tire. All that was left on the rim were the two side walls. I recovered the tread and I have the wheel with the side walls still on it. I showed it to the dealer and the service technicians had no idea about what happened. As of now the manufacturer has not been made aware. This 2016 Honda Civic was purchased from a dealer and there are still 3 of the same tire on the car. I drove the remaining distance to my destination on the rim where I put on the spare. I couldn’t change the tire where the blowout happened because I was on a bridge with very little shoulder.
