YOKO TORNANTE h/v 235/55 R 18 released belt on Drivers front and passenger front during September 2021; mileage at time is 85850, mileage at install was 54380. tires had 31,470 on them at failure with a 75,000 rating. Previous failure of: YOKO TORNANTE 235/55 R 14, released belt on passenger rear tire in June 2021. Tired bought and installed October 2017, tires have 75,000 mileage rating. Tire had less than 31,000 miles on it at failure. No warning lights or alerts; tire inspected at Island Tire in Marathon, Florida on trip from Virginia. Caught issue prior to any injury. Issue took place on vacation from Virginia. Second failure of tires on Drivers front and passenger front in September 2021 for released belt. Yoko Tornante 135/55 R 14. Appears to be bad batch of tires.

I rented a Kia Forte from Avis. I got a flat tire that was not repairable. I called AAA. There was no spare tire. I learned that Kia and many other manufacturers now do not provide a spare tire. This is exceptionally dangerous because you could get trapped in a remote location, in a desert, wilderness or very cold area and die. I propose that NHTSA require all rental cars to have spare tires (The Kia had a space for one), and further that new cars disclose prominently that there is no spare tire.

P225/65R17 GEOLANDAR G91A 100H tire was loosing air with 12k miles. mazda service dealer claimed many punctures due to driving in NYC but car was sold in NYC. (3) nails located in very soft rubber and tire failed at 15k miles casing emergency situation. (3) others tire have no single issue. after getting new tire and after removing damaged tire following picture is in side the bad tire: many layers of rubber chipping off the tire. please investigate this tire and after searching internet for this tire I realized that something is going wrong with this tire type.

We were driving down road going about 55 mph. Our 2019 Nissan Rogue gave us a warning that our tire pressure was low. We immediately pulled over an inspected our tires. The tires appeared fine but the air pressure in the right rear tire was about 5 lbs pressure low. We immediately put the tire manufacturers recommended air pressure. Our vehicle warning light went off and we completed our road trip. On the morning of 6-25 we noticed completed flat rear passenger tire. After further inspection of the tire, we noticed the tire tread had a slight tear from the inside of the tire to the outside of the tire. It was obvious the damage was not caused by road debris or any road hazards or miles on these tires. We have not put more than 12,000 miles on this tire. These tires were about a year old and the tread was within the safety depth. This could have cause an accident in which substantial injury or death could have occurred. Yokohama tires should be ashamed of this lack of quality. It is believed this tire was manufactured in the Yokohama Mississippi tire plant in January- Feburary of 2019. Tiers are Yokohama P225/40R18 88V This vehicle now has slightly more than 8,000 miles and has only been driven over local roads under normal operating conditions and speeds. A couple of weeks ago, while getting gas, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on front driver's side sidewall. The integrity of the tire was compromised so I contacted the dealership and arranged to have the tire replaced. I can produce the dealership repair bill upon request. Yesterday while taking my wife to an appointment, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on rear driver's side sidewall requiring another trip to the dealership and another tire replacement. I can take a photo of bulge in rear tire or have dealership preserve the tire if you would like it for your investigation of my complaint. Fortunately I have the resources to have the tires repaired. In my case the bulges appeared in the sidewall visible to me. I knew that integrity of the tire was compromised and immediate action was necessary. I am more than 60 years old. I have owned several new cars and this is the first time I have experienced this. It is possible that other motorists encountering the same problem may not have the resources to purchase multiple replacement tires. It is also possible that the bulge might appear on the backside of the sidewall where it would not be noticed. It is possible that another motorist might not recognize the integrity of the tire was compromised and that their life and the lives of others were potentially at risk.

NEW YOKOHAMA AVID TIRE (WITH LESS THAN 5,250 MILES) BLEW UP ON THE ROAD. ONLY THE RIM REMAINED. SIZE: 205/55R16 91H. DOT 408K6HC1019.

ON JUNE 5, 2020 AND JUNE 14, 2020, RESPECTIVELY, TWO YOKOHAMA YK580 225/70R16 TIRES INSTALLED ON MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED VIOLENT TREAD SEPARATION. THE TIRES WERE APPROXIMATELY 4 YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON THEM (THE WARRANTY IS FOR 60,000 MILES). ONE EVENT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH. BOTH TREAD SEPARATION EVENTS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, THE REPAIR OF WHICH WAS ESTIMATED AT $3,195. MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE EVENTS PUT THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AT RISK. YOKOHAMA REFUSED TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY DUE TO THE TIRES BEING UNAVAILABLE FOR FORENSIC EXAMINATION. THIS WAS IN SPITE OF MY PROVIDING PHOTOGRAPHS OF BOTH EVENTS CLEARLY SHOWING TREAD SEPARATION HAD OCCURRED. I GUESS YOKOHAMA EXPECTED ME TO CARRY TWO DAMAGED TIRES BACK FROM THE VACATION (AND LEAVE MY FAMILY BEHIND TO NOT OVERLOAD THE VEHICLE?).

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 ISUZU NPR EQUIPPED WITH YOKOHAMA TIRES, TIRE LINE: LT RADIAL, TIRE SIZE: 215/85/R16, DOT NUMBER: SBBA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE AN EMPLOYEE WAS USING THE VEHICLE SHE NOTICED BUBBLES ON SIDE WALL OF THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TIRE SHOP AND BOTH FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED SOUTH BAY TRUCK CENTER LOCATED AT 7327001005, CARSON, CA 90746, (310)984-3950, AND NOTIFIED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER SIMILAR COMPANY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME TIRES THAT EXHIBITED BUBBLES TO THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRES. SEVERAL OF THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 13,000. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. *LN THE CONSUMER STATED THERE IS A FOURTH AND FIFTH TIRE FAILURE. *TR*DT*JB

EXTREME DRY ROT TO A 3.5 YEAR OLD TIRE. TIRE LEAKS AIR. YOKOHAMA ALSO REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING.
