Subject: Safety Complaint – Open Recall with No Remedy Available I am filing a safety complaint regarding my vehicle, which currently has an open recall with no available remedy. Manufacturer Recall Number: 93C NHTSA Recall Number: 25V-586 VIN: [XXX] After learning about this recall, I have experienced the exact issues described. When the vehicle is exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures, the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) warning light illuminates, along with the check engine light and the auto stop-start warning light. When this occurs, the vehicle begins to sputter and loses power. It will not properly a-ccelerate and significantly reduces speed while driving. This creates a serious safety hazard, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. A sudden loss of power or inability to accelerate could easily result in a collision, potentially causing serious injury or death. There is currently no remedy available for this recall, yet the vehicle remains in operation on public roads. I do not feel the vehicle is safe to drive under these conditions. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue further and require the manufacturer to provide an immediate and effective remedy. Owners should not be placed in a position where they must operate an unsafe vehicle while waiting for a repair solution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. fuel pumps failed, leading to engine stall It got rescaled by the dealer, I had to paid out of packet. No response from Alf Romero regarding this recall reimbursement.

It's well known by Alfa Romeo/Chrystler, Stelvio owners and certified Alfa Romeo mechanics that the O-ring in the oil send/receive/turbo lines is faulty. Spewing oil into the engine compartment and engine components and accessories i.e., belts, brake components creating a major liability for Alfa Romeo. The smoke from burning oil is overwhelming and visible inside the cabin throughout the interior of this car. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD TO ALL ALFA ROMEO STELVIO OWNERS WITH THE 2018 MODEL.

NHTSA #25V-586 Recall #93C 2017-2019 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA, 2018-2019 ALFA ROMEO The vehicle has been experiencing inconsistent fuel readings, an electronic throttle control fault, and a service engine warning. When the electronic throttle control fault occurs, the vehicle loses power, stalls, and struggles to accelerate, which raises concerns about its suitability for commuting. On several occasions, while driving on highways, my vehicle has experienced loss of power, resulting in a significant reduction in speed. This has necessitated extended commute times on streets due to the apprehension of causing accidents. Consequently, I have had to miss several workdays in an attempt to address this issue. Initially, I resorted to using rental vehicles out of pocket until a solution for this recall was found. However, despite my efforts, there has been no resolution, and I am left with concerns about driving my vehicle and potentially causing an accident due to the lack of safety measures or the ongoing financial burden of renting vehicles until a solution for the recall is implemented. Despite multiple attempts to schedule a repair, there has been no resolution, and the date for bringing the vehicle in for inspection continues to be postponed. I am submitting this complaint due to ongoing unresolved safety issues with my 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, VIN: ZASFAKAN6J7B95955. The vehicle has an open and unresolved safety recall under Recall Number 25V-586 / Manufacturer Recall 93C relating to the fuel delivery module (FDM), which poses a risk of engine shutdown and potential crash without warning. According to the notice, no remedy is currently available, yet I continue to experience serious electrical problems that align with the warning signs outlined. Specifically, my headlights have been flickering on and off while driving, creating hazardous conditions—this occurred again as recently as January 26, 2026. These issues are not isolated. I have evidence via Carfax history that the vehicle had documented electrical problems dating back to 2019. Despite notifying FCA (now Stellantis) and being offered a low-value settlement ($4,000), I formally rejected that offer due to the unresolved safety risks, recall status, and prior documented issues. A copy of the official recall letter from FCA US LLC and NHTSA status (marked “Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available”) are attached. At this time, I’m pursuing legal action under California’s Lemon Law and request that this complaint be recorded and escalated as this vehicle continues to pose a serious safety risk on public roads.

Napleton Alfa Romeo of Indianapolis is refusing to perform the recall work on my car.

The contact expressed safety concerns. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was hesitating and then lost motive power. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. The VIN was not available.

Twice now, my 2019 Giulia, which only has 27,100 miles, has flashed a check engine light and a "flash/lighting" symbol while driving at highway speeds. When this happened, the vehicle's throttle became unresponsive. This resulted in a sudden power loss--the accelerator would not respond to input, which creates a huge safety issue. I had it towed as I did not want to cause an accident. My trusted mechanic ran the diagnostic code (P008a) which indicated low pressure from the fuel pump. This is addressed in recall numbers 93C (Manufacturer) and 25V-586 (NHTSA). However, NHTSA does not show any active recalls for my vehicle VIN. My local dealership indicated this is because Alfa Romeo has not distributed the correct parts to the dealerships. Alfa Romeo customer service said this is incorrect. I am stuck with an unsafe and unreliable vehicle due to the precise recall item that Alfa Romeo says does not apply to my vehicle.

i have been waiting for months received a letter from Alfa Romeo sent them my details, for them to get in touch with me when the remedy for this potential dangerous fault to be rectified. Many crashes have taken place, as the car could potentially cut out whilst on the highways. For Alfa Romeo to leave me in a state where this car could cut out without warning at any stage is not unacceptable. I have to use my car for work, and I am having to resort to using other means with the fear this car could cut out on me on the freeways. They have failed to respond to my email or have they sent me a followup letter to get my car booked in and fixed.
