2017 AUDI Q7 Complaints

I’m getting the "front right" "side marker light defective" message and my vehicle’s lamps are appearing normal. Car has never been in an accident and multiple owners are having this issue

Hi, NHTSA we found our 2017 Audi Q7 the rear suspension coil springs are broken, the vehicle is only 55K miles so far. Everyday normally driving, bring kids to school or go to work. I checked this online, many Audi owner complains about this issues, not just only Q7 models. Please investigate the issue. Audi should recall this parts and give the owner compensation. Right side marker defective keeps coming on when headlight turns on. The light works fine but Audi wants to charge over 4K to replace headlamp. Audi stated it’s tiny bulb on side to fix, I have to replace entire headlamp. This is an electrical issue that lot of Audi Q7 owners have reported and I shouldn’t be liable to fix a defective issue.

Side marker light warning is illuminated even though light is working. Warning comes on when the lights come on.

The contact owns a 2017 Audi Q7. The contact was informed by her son of a failure with the front passenger’s side seat belt. The contact stated that the seat belt service warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who performed a diagnostic test. The contact was informed that the seat belt retractor had failed. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

Repeated & Distracting dashboard warning for "Front Left Side Marker Light Defective." Instead of merely replacing a bulb, Audi requires a $2500+ headlight housing to be replaced. Problem confirmed by both independent shop and Audi dealership. Many Audi owners have found ways to deactive the side lights, dimishing safety, or they have to endure the distraction of an alert on the dash EVERY 20 SECONDS. This issue needs to be added to the existing Audi recall 97CD or NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000

Right side marker light is getting repeated warnings despite headlight working fine. Repair options are either over $4K or disabling the marker light which is much less expensive but reduces safety. I and many others will be opting to disable the light, reducing safety. Audi should issue a recall for this defective marker light that includes additional VINs.

Headlight side marker bulb out. A malfunctioning side marker light not only compromises the visibility of your vehicle to other drivers, especially in low-light conditions, but also heightens the risk of accidents, particularly during lane changes or turns.

I am receiving dashboard warning error "Front right side marker light defective" when headlights are in use. The warning occurs when headlights are on and intermittently illuminates with a beep warning sound. It can happen every few seconds or every few minutes. It is very annoying. This problem started when the car was around 82,000 miles. The same thing happened on the OTHER side of the car around 72,000 miles, with the "Front LEFT side marker light defective" warning appearing. At that time the car was still under extended warranty (which expired at 80,000 miles) and the Audi dealer diagnosed the LEFT side problem as a "defective headlight assembly." The dealer replaced the headlight assembly at a cost of $3655 which was covered by the extended warranty. Now, with the extended warranty elapsed, the problem is happening on the RIGHT side. Online research shows very high numbers of 2017 Audi Q7 owners complaining about this issue. Audi recall 97CB (NHTSA 16V642000) exists for this issue but Audi only applied it to some 2017 model year VINs. My 2017 Q7 VIN is not included. It should be. Clearly this issue is rampant in this model+year combination, and owners should not have to spend thousands of dollars for it to be repaired.

I got the checking engine malfunction. took it to the dealer for dianogtic found code P052E001 PCV ( crankcase breather valve fault and it need to be replace because it also caused the emission issue). I found it was under extentison warranty to 10 year or 120000 miles , I contacted Audi and they said my VIN is not eligible to the warranty. I believed they should provide the extension warranty for all of their vehicles.
