The Multimedia Interface (MMI) Touchscreen Radio will constantly reboot while driving regardless of variables. Diagnosis’ have proven problem to be undeterminable, this is a serious safety concern as I have lost back up camera and other safety features while driving, while I await the system to reboot. This reboot has been occurring non-stop since January. My research online and in other forums has led to a substantial group of vehicle owners suffering from the same issues across their vehicles. Audi has made no effort to rectify with the dealership simply stating they can charge to diagnose or replace. If it was an isolated incident I would be understanding as Maintenance problems will arise, but to have a substantial population discussing this issue ad nauseum seems to be more widespread with no solutions.

The MMI entertainment system completely reboots several times on a 10-15 minute drives this causes me to lose all visibility into my clusters, maps, GPS, and much more. This problem has been replicated by my local dealership with no solution to the issues. There are many others online with the same exact problem, and have yet to be given a solution. There is no warning to this issue happening as it's very random.

The MMI keeps rebooting, even if I’m listening to the radio and my iPhone isn’t plugged in. If my iPhone is plugged in, it also does it and shuts off and reboots.

The vehicles MMI multimedia infotainment system will randomly shut off, go blank and reboot. This happens at random intervals and there doesn’t seem to be a pattern to the cause. It also happens at times when trying to back in, this is dangerous as it cuts out the reverse camera and the parking sensors while it reboots. It not only shuts off music it shuts off gps while it reboots. It does it with the regular gps as well as with Apple CarPlay on

MMI unit (HDU for Audi/radio/backup camera) keeps resetting. Lose picture when backing up. Definitely a safety hazard

MMI keeps rebooting while driving, even during reverse. Happens randomly every 20 minutes.

The SOS Emergency Call system error warning appears every time I start the car. This system no longer functions in the car. An independent mechanic ran the diagnostic and said it could not be cleared. If I were to be in an accident, I would not be able to use this essential safety feature. Additionally, the MMI system that is used for making hands-free calls, mapping directions, and reading texts aloud randomly shuts off every 3-5 minutes. It says it is initializing, and you must hit three buttons to have it come back on. If I'm using maps or making a call, and this system shuts down, it becomes a distraction while driving. The dealership said it is a problem with this component overheating and restarting.

This is a well known issue and multiple People have reported on this issue to Audi. It’s is very common in Audi Q7 models from the year 2017 - 2023 where the PCV valve have a defect and the marker on the front passenger and driver side lights as well are out. These are both very costly repairs that are thousands of dollars that truly hurt the consumer. They know that the 3.0 L engine had a severe problem with the PCV valve and crack case and they have not warned customers and it’s truly hurting the consumer in this economy. Please file this petition and I bet customers flock as I saw a Reddit thread with thousands of people complaining about the same common issue and problem with their Audi Q7. MMI shuts down and reboots randomly without warning and multiply times a day. All the backup camera and safety warning features were disabled while MMI is off. Huge safety concerns!

MMI randomly reboots involuntarily at any point during the drive. Reboots as often as once every few minutes and reboots about 5-8 times per drive. Cannot pin point the cause since it is not obvious. Also a safety concern because the MMI can reboot while backup camera is active or while car sensors are in use. Multiple owners of the same year model are having this same issue for months now with no fix from Audi. I have been having this issue non stop the last few months now.
