2023 AUDI A4- Port Charlotte, FL
The vehicle erroneously applies sudden emergency braking (Audi Pre Sense) without conditions warranting system activation. This malfunction occurs at the most dangerous of times, mostly while making left turns. Vehicles behind do not expect the vehicle ahead to suddenly stop which is going to cause an rear-end collision, and the timing for turning across lanes of traffic is leading to the potential front-end collision with opposing traffic. The sudden activation is unbelievably jarring and has caused shoulder and neck pain. This matter has been brought to the attention of the dealer on multiple occasions but codes are not produced for activation and I was told there is no "black box" to look at data history. This issue has been brought to the dealer's attention on 6/1/24, 12/21/24, & 1/2/25. The most recent incident occurred on 4/30/25 at approximately 2:00 P.M. during the same condition of making a left turn.

2020 AUDI A4 ALLROAD- Bridgewater, NJ
The MMI (multi-media interface) frequently reboots during driving, resulting in a black screen and the inoperability of key systems such as the backup camera, rear obstacle detection, navigation, and cell phone tethering (for hands-free operation). These reboots require user input, including entering a PIN to log into the user account (if set up) and repeatedly tapping on the MMI, which can be highly distracting while driving. By its very nature, the reboot catches the driver by surprise and requires diverting attention from driving.Typically, this user input is provided while stationary, immediately after starting the vehicle. The issue emerged sometime in February or March 2025. The vehicle had the software update done at Flemington Audi and problem still persists today. This issue constitutes a safety concern, as reboots can occur during reverse parking maneuvers, rendering the backup camera and obstacle detection sensors inoperable until the system reloads. Additionally, reboots completely disable the navigation screens and necessitate multiple user inputs to restore functionality, which can be hazardous while driving. Many states have enacted hands-free laws and requirements that mandate the use of dash-mounted systems to comply with these regulations. The reboots render such systems inoperative. Numerous reports on online user forums suggest that this issue is widespread and affects the same model year vehicles. For instance, see https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...20-a4-3082501/. Several Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) indicate that available software updates should be applied to address infotainment-related issues. Relevant TSB numbers include: TSB 2067021, TSB 2076404, and TSB 2069112.

2024 AUDI RS E-TRON GT- Oakton, VA
On [XXX], the vehicles safety systems (emergency braking, cross traffic warning, forward collision warning) failed to function allowing the vehicle to hit a cross traffic vehicle in a parking lot. The safety system failed again after the first collision allowing the vehicle to continue driving forward to hit a second parked vehicle. Details of the incident is available by Geico claim [XXX]. The safety systems failed to mitigate a human error as they were designed to do. The consequence would have been more devastating had a person instead of a vehicle crossed in front. Geico inspected the vehicle and deemed it a total loss. I have requested Audi of America to inspect the vehicle and conduct an investigation to identify and correct the defect. They have refused to do so. No warning or symptom of any kind appeared before the failure. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2023 AUDI Q5- Irvine, CA
We have a leased 2023 Audi Q5 that has been to the Audi Service Department twice so far to determine the source of the problem with our SOS sensor, which turns on randomly and now stays on and won't turn off. The first time, on April 23rd, Audi Service did not address the issue because they forgot to. The second time, on April 29th, the Audi Service rep, Kyle Blomberg, reported that the SOS sensor issue may be fixed with a software update coming out later this year. He will speak with the service foreman today for more information. This is a safety issue if the car is ever in an accident, as we are not sure if the airbags will deploy, whether the seat belt tension will be activated, or whether the eCall system will automatically contact emergency services. It's unacceptable for Audi not to deploy an update more expeditiously, as waiting nearly seven months is entirely ludicrous. Please investigate this further.

2021 AUDI SQ5- Southlake, TX
Comfort Module J393 failed that is tied to all electronics warnings in car. brake warnings, light warning, security warnings, etc. Car was unable to be started as a result. If these electronics failed during driving, its very dangerous and could force crashing of vehicle. According to Dealership, failed module was submerged (ie water flooeded). This is a self contained electronics module that is not exposed to elements. The car was parked in driveway. it rained lightly over the weekend. Then this occurred. the damage and replacement cost was over $10K in damage. Audi dealership stated replacing rear water drain may be kinked or damaged causing water to leak where module located. Its not normal for self contained electronics modules to have this problem.

2019 AUDI Q7- Winter Springs, FL
As always, my wife put her purse with the key in the purse in the front seat of the car while she was putting our (3) old grandchild in the care seat. as soon as my wife closed the back door all the doors locked, possibly our granddaughter hit the lock with her foot. The back doors only have a lock feature but not an unlock feature. My wife had to call the fire department to get the doors open. We live in Florida, if this was summer, there could have been a health risk to our grandchild. (1) why with the keys in the car would it lock (2) why isn't there a way to unlock the doors from the back seat? I went on line and it looks like others have had this same issue.

2023 AUDI Q7- Hudson, OH
After owning the vehicle for less than one-year (~20k) miles, the front brakes started to pulse and make noise when stopping. Stopping distance was reduced. The dealer recommended that the rotors be replaced and did so at zero cost as a courtesy. Twelve weeks later, the pulsing and noise and reduced stopping distance started again. This time they refused to pay for the repair and blamed "braking habits". Audi national customer care also refused to do anything. The car is mostly driven on the highway and most of the braking is done by the adaptive cruise control. There is no other evidence of hard driving (i.e. tire wear or low gas mileage). The problem is almost certainly the calipers which should not fail after a year. Reduced stopping distance and brake failure are a safety hazard.

2020 AUDI A4- Sherman Oaks, CA
While driving the MMI (infotainment system) spontaneously reboots. The screen goes black, all audio shuts off and proceeds to boot up as if the car had been turned off and turned back on again. This happens multiple times per drive, every day. It can even happen while the car is in reverse and the backup camera is in use which is very dangerous. This appears to be a widespread issue based on the numerous reports found on user forums online, affecting the same model year vehicles (for multiple examples, refer to https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...20-a4-3082501/ ) This started happening full time around Jan/Feb 2025
