2017 AUDI Q7- Vancouver, WA
CAMPAIGN 97cb (nhtsa campaign ID 16v642000 Side Marker Lights Do Not Illuminate With Parking Lights Or Headlights On This poses a risk for my safety and others during night driving making the vehicle less visible at night. I paid Audi of Portland $285.00 to diagnose this issue, due to receiving the message on my car "front left" or "front right" "side marker light defective" and they said it would cost almost $12,000.00 to replace both left and right-side headlight housing. Marker lights are LED and cannot be replaced without replacing entire housing. I checked for a recall and my 2017 Audi Q7 does not have any open recalls. However other models made the same year are being recalled. the side marker lights do not illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

2023 AUDI E-TRON GT- Yardley, PA
My 2023 Audi e-Tron GT has been subject to a recall since September 30, 2024 for possible fire risks associated with its electric batteries, yet Audi still has not announced a solution in the past seven months. Instead, Audi recommends charging the battery to not more than 80% capacity, which significantly limits the vehicle's range. Why has AUdi not been pushed to either fix the problem or compensate owners of affected vehicle, and what is the NHTSA doing about it?

2022 AUDI S5- New Milford , NJ
The car stalled while driving on [XXX] while approaching Express EZpass toll on [XXX]. The car stayed in the middle of the fast lane until the tow truck driver came and started the car. I cannot recall the yellow message on the dashboard that appeared as soon as the engine stopped. A yellow triangle with exclamation point and a car with exclamation point appeared on the dashboard. We called 911 and then AAA. AAA on the phone instructed us to turn on and off the engine several times. The engine did not start until the tow truck driver came, opened the door and replaced me in the driver’s seat. He stepped on the brakes and pushed the start button as I did several times before but this time the car started as if nothing happened. We drove the car home. The Audi service checked the car on their first available appointment date, 4/14/25. Their report stated “scanned vehicle and found faults starter performance performed test plan and starter is working in good condition, inspected battery terminal and found then not tight enough, performed cleaning of both battery terminal and reinstalling them and after service was performed now vehicle is working as it designed to” The car had its 40K maintenance service on 9/4/2024. Mileage then was 32,869. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2011 AUDI Q5- Hudson, NH
Rear subframe rust causing car to fail state inspection. This vehicle has been maintained well and always parked in garage. The rear subframe rusted most, then front subframe. This is a common compliant among Audi forum users.

2023 AUDI A6 ALLROAD- Oak Park, IL
The car does a hard braking when reversing into fairly tight parking space . Due to the over sensitivity of Audi Pre Sense feature the car brakes hard even though there is no close by object at risk of being hit . I have taken the car for the dealer and they acknowledge that the hard braking initiated by Audi Pre Sense is a feature and not a bug . One can see many threads in Reddit reporting this problem .

2012 AUDI Q5- Marana, AZ
ON [XXX] AT [XXX], AT MY HOME, I PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY IN MY 2012 AUDI 2012 Q5, I DROVE THREE HOUSES DOWN, AND THE SUNROOF EXPLODED SENDING SHATTERED GLASS ON MYSELF, MY THEN [XXX] SON, AND INTO THE CABIN OF THE CAR. I CALLED AUDI FOR REPAIR, BUT WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A 3 TO 4 MONTH WAIT, ORDERED A ON REPAIRS. SO I ORDERED A REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLED MYSELF. ON [XXX] MY 2012 AUDI Q5, WOULD NOT START, DASH FAULT INDICATED CRANKCASE/ CAMSHAFT NOT ALINGED. PUT VEHICLE IN A AUDI REPAIR SHOP (NOT DEALERSHIP) FOR REPAIRS. DAMAGE WAS CRANKCASE, TIMING CHAIN, AND TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER RESEARCH DONE FOUND THAT THERE WAS SIX RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE, ONE INVOLVING THE SUNROOF SHATTERING, AND THE OTHER INVOLVING THE CRANKCASE, TIMING CHAIN, AND TENSIONER. ON 04/15/2025 I CALLED AUDI AT 800-822-2834 ABOUT THE INCIDENTS, AND INQUIRING ABOUT THE SIX RECALLS, ATTEMPTING TO MAKE SURE THE REPAIRS HAD BEEN COMPLETED. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE DATES THAT A CASE WAS CLOSED BASED ON THE VIN OF MY VEHICLE BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS HAD BEEN DONE, SHE STATED A CLAIM BEING CLOSED "USUALLY MEANT A REPAIR WAS DONE. BUT ONLY THE DEALERSHIP THAT OPENED THE CASE WOULD HAVE MORE INFORMATION. I REQUESTED THE DEALERSHIP INFORMATION, ADVISING THAT I WAS CONCERNED AS THUS FAR THE RECALL REPAIRS SEEM TO BE FAILING, AND THE RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS COULD CAUSE POTENTIAL DEATH IF DEPLOYED. I REQUESTED A SUPERVISOR CALL BACK. ON 04/16/2025 I RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM A SUPERVISOR NAME JUAN/ID 43248. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THE ISSUE WITH THE PREVIOUS RECALLS FAILING AND MY CONCERNS ABOUT THE AIRBAGS, AND ASKED FOR THE DEALERSHIP NAME AND NUMBER THAT DID THE REPAIRS. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE INFORMATION SIGHTING IT CONTAINED INFORMATION ON THE PREVIOUS OWNER. I SEEK TO CONFIRM THAT THESE REPAIRS WERE ACTUALLY DONE IN FEAR THAT THEY MAY NOT HAVE BEEN, AND IF A AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED I AND PASSENGERS MAY END UP DEAD AS A RESULT. PLEASE ADVISE.
