Software Bugs result is constant loss of 'favorites' which require more attention being placed on the interface while driving to do basic tasks. A safety update released by Audi ( TSB (2062266)) but did nothing to fix the issue. This is a serious safety hazard that should be fixed.

The contact owns a 2018 Audi Q5. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed that the suspension coil spring was cracked at the bottom. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was not available.

Both rear spring have broke with a clean break. I would not have noticed except for the piece of spring laying on my garage floor. Seems to be a known issue with Audi 2013-2019

Brake pedal is hard when starting the vehicle. Brake pedal turns soft when engine is started. The brake pedal is so hard that it requires significant force to depress sufficiently to start the engine. This indicates loss of vacuum in brake booster when engine is off. The vehicle is equipped with a start/stop system and it seems likely that the brakes would not sufficiently hold the vehicle when the start/stop system turns off the engine.

Every time I start the car, a message comes on saying that the passenger airbag is off even when I have an occupant next to me. I spoke with the dealer and he told me that this recall was claimed and fixed in 2022 in Texas by the previous owner but I replied that the problem continues and he told me that this was no longer an Audi problem. Furthermore, every time it accelerates over 40 miles per hour, a message about the driving system in malfunction appears and also the automatic on and off system at stops stops working and when I drive it at low speed there is no problem. I took it to Audi and they told me that they should change the turbo and I told them that the car only has 100,000 miles and why they should change a turbo that only has 100,000 miles of use and they told me that’s how it is

Going about 50-55mph on dark road I have driven on for last six months in all conditions. Last night was normal dry conditions. I had cruise control and audi presense set to early detection. Suddenly the brakes engaged hard for a split second and then stopped. While this happened the cockpit display said "Audi pre sense" with a red circle icon below. After this the vehicle continued to drive without further incident. This is a common problem in various Audi models that would present various dangers. In particular I can't imagine what would happen if my pregnant wife was buckled in and the brakes suddenly slammed hard.

Pressing on brake but the car accelerated. Unable to stop, the vehicle pushed two other cars I to each other (they were parked, fortunately). Car came to rest and shit down. None of the safety features stopped the car from moving forward despite the brake pedal being pressed down all the way.

I have had three occurrences where the Automatic Emergency Braking system and Forward Collision system have been activated for no reason. In one case the Q5 braked suddenly, and the seat belts tightened to the point that it made my passengers back sore. Fortunately, no vehicle was following close behind to cause a rear end collision. I another case I was stopped at a traffic light with a car also stopped in front of me and the seat belts tightened for no reason. It was very startling. The third instance I was driving along a straight 2 lane road with no cars travelling in either direction and the AEB activated. The braking was violent. I am concerned that the AEB could activate on an interstate highway causing a serious accident. The date I used was just one occurance.

The contact owns a 2019 Audi A3. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V110000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Notified by Audi dealership of a rear coil spring break. Zero corrosion present, powder coating fully intact (picture available), low mileage. Was advised and verified that this serious safety issue is occurring with many 2018 Audi Q5 models. Audi has not, as of yet, recognized this as a defective part and issued a safety recall. Please add my complaint to the many others regarding this safety issue and mandate Audi issue a recall.
