RECEIVED LETTER FROM AUDI REGARDING NHTSA:22V034. LETTER INDICATED THERE WAS A DEFECT WITH THE REAR AXLE SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT WHICH COULD LEAD TO PREMATURE AND EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR AND, POTENTIAL TIRE FAILURE. AFTER INSPECTION, DEALER (FLETCHER JONE AUDI, COSTA MESA, CA) SAID THERE WERE NO ISSUES DESPITE PRESENCE OF EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR. TIRES ONLY HAD 18,000 MILES ON THEM AND HAD BEEN ROTATED AT 10,000 BY FLETCHER JONES AUDI. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT DO ANY WORK, REPAIRS OR REPLACE TIRES.

Water pump stopped working properly, creating hazardous situation with my car. Had the car overheated and stopped working while driving, this could have been catastrophic. The only symptom was loss of coolant and resulting warning message from the car. I took it to an independent service center, who diagnosed the problem and replaced at my own expense of $961.07.

The panoramic sunroof suddenly shattered when drove on the highway I-15 at the speed around 75mph. There was no other cars around me when this happened, and we didn't use any heater or A/C at that time, all windows were closed. There is no sign of glass exploding prior to the failure. If the shade is not closed, the exploded sunroof glass will splash in the car cabin, causing injury for all passengers. Also, the shattered broken glass will hit the vehicles behind my car in a high speed. I have visited the Audi dealer, but they have no explanations about why this happen, they didn't exam the defect glass yet.

The car has only 60,000 miles and it is gently driven. In the middle of the interstate it started making a rattling noise. Immediately the car ceased to run. Luckily there was no vehicle otherwise it would have been a disaster. I managed to start the car back and bring it to my home which was nearby. I called a friend who is the mechanic and he mentioned the turbo had failed

I went to dealership to fix recall and the dealership didn't finish work on recall because they wanted me to pay for an alignment when it says it should off been fixed on your website because the recall damaged my tires unevenly.

Ok before my previous incident it must’ve been 2 weeks ago that my car just sped up and broke on it’s on on a 65 mile road it’s to the point that I’m very hesitant to drive the car but it’s my only means of commute it’s just a total safety problem and I don’t feel safe one bit

The car is completely not safe it seems to have a mind of its own and that’s saying that I’ve maintained everything up to par and it’s still a safety hazard

I bought this vehicle with 57,000 miles on it the water pump was replaced under recall at 60,000 miles now the water pump is bad at 97,000 miles so that’s three water pumps 97,000 miles

The thermostat housing on the 2.0t ea888 gen 3 engines keeps leaking after being replaced, VW has made multiple revisions and it still leaks I’m only at 41k miles.

Early in January of this year - - Got the message on the dash ('ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION'). - Then a 2nd. message ('PULL OVER WHEN SAFE TO DO SO'). - Then a final message ('DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE'). Vehicle was still driveable and I was able to make it back to the house. - Vehicle was towed to the Shawnee Mission Kansas Audi dealership Where it has been since January 4 First attempt to repair was to replace the battery control module (parts from Germany). That resulted in a series of new error codes being generated. So more parts from Germany (not sure what all this included). Ok so the tech was driving it around the lot at the dealership and the Turtle appeared and the car stopped. So back into the shop. So the latest is they found a leak from the battery coolant system, leaking directly onto the front motor. Ok so now I am waiting for a 'NEW MOTOR' and who knows what else from Germany. Ok so with that said, I did a little digging around on my own. The actual problem is caused by a faulty gasket. Found this below on an auto blog site discussing the Audi E-Tron. The situation described below is potentially extremely dangerous. So my problem apparently is common with this vehicle: ".... The e-tron shut-down appears to be caused in some cases by a failing gasket which allows coolant to leak into the motor. The fix is a new motor which, though it should be covered by the warranty, takes a long time while the dealer waits for delivery of a whole new e-tron motor. Some drivers have been left stranded in another state, hundreds of miles from home, with a vehicle that will not even turn on and takes weeks to repair. .... "
