2016 AUDI A3- Jacksonville, FL
My 2016 Audi A3 Sportsback E-tron vehicle was parked at my house. When I went to start it the engine did nothing, no power. The message “Driver System Fault” and a red triangle with a red ! in the middle was displayed on the instrument panel. I was unable to start or operate the vehicle. I called AAA and they towed the vehicle to a Recharge Hybrid pump location near my house. I tired to charge the battery and it would just turn off. Then I called AAA again and they towed my car back to my house and checked the small 12 volt battery to see if that was the problem, they determined that the 12 volt battery still had 75% life in it. They were unable to get my vehicle started. The same message is still on the dashboard “Driver System Fault." The failure mileage is approximately 81,567. I want to know before I call the Dealer and get it towed again if this issue is the Hybrid High-Voltage Battery or the housing bonded seam could have lead to corrosion the service recall from a while ago. Service Action Code 93D2

2013 AUDI RS 5- Riverside, CA
Vehicle: 2013 Audi RS5 Recall Reference: 37P1 / 37K8 (Transmission Control Module Software Update) After Audi performed the TCM software update for recall 37P1/37K8, my vehicle began displaying “Transmission Overheating – Please Drive Conservatively” warnings during normal driving, especially in stop-and-go traffic. This problem never occurred before the recall update. The warning now happens intermittently, raising concerns about: •Loss of drivability and safety risk if the transmission overheats while driving. •Premature failure of the transmission or mechatronic unit due to repeated overheating. •A direct link to the recall software update, since the issue began only after it was installed. I am concerned that the recall fix created new drivability and safety problems. Audi has not provided a remedy.

2021 AUDI Q7- Buford, GA
During a routine service on my 2021 Audi Q7, the shop found the coolant level low and traced it to a leak. The Audi dealer later diagnosed failure of the water pump, thermostat, valves, and related parts, with a repair estimate of nearly $5,000. I discovered that prior model years (up to 2020) were included in a class action lawsuit for the same type of cooling system failures, though my VIN is not covered. This appears to be the same issue, happening just a few months outside of warranty, and raises concerns about premature failure and safety risk from overheating.

2015 AUDI A3- Irpin, MI
Subject: Complaint regarding refusal to perform recall repairs outside the U.S. – VIN [XXX] Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am the owner of an Audi A3, model year 2015, VIN [XXX] . According to the NHTSA database, my vehicle is subject to two open recall campaigns: – 69BY / 21V198 – Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) – 20YF / 24V110 – EVAP Suction Pump I currently reside in Ukraine, where the vehicle has been legally imported and registered. Despite the recalls being active and safety-related, the official Audi importer and dealers in Ukraine have refused to perform the repairs free of charge. They argue that these recalls apply only to the U.S. market and therefore decline service, which contradicts the global principle of mandatory recall repairs. This situation puts me and other drivers at risk, as the unresolved recall issues directly affect vehicle safety. I kindly ask NHTSA to review this case and provide guidance on ensuring that recall obligations are respected internationally, or to instruct Audi AG / Audi of America to facilitate the execution of these recalls regardless of the vehicle’s current market. Attached, please find copies of my correspondence with Audi dealers in Ukraine and Audi of America. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, [XXX] Ukraine Phone: [XXX] Email: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2021 AUDI Q5- Yonkers, NY
On September 18, 2025, while driving at ~65–70 mph on the Saw Mill Parkway in Mount Kisco, NY, a Michelin Latitude Tour HP tire (235/55R19) suffered a sudden circumferential tread/belt separation. The tread detached completely from the casing while the sidewall remained intact. A small screw was present in the center tread, but there was no TPMS warning or gradual pressure loss prior to the failure. This behavior is inconsistent with ordinary puncture damage and indicates a potential workmanship/materials defect. The separated tread, tire carcass, and wheel are preserved and available for inspection. The tires were installed by the dealer (Audi New Rochelle) on June 12, 2024, as part of Certified Pre-Owned reconditioning before sale. This catastrophic failure posed an immediate risk of serious crash. Tire Size: 235/55R19
