The contact owns a 2014 Audi S5. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, there was a Control Area Network (CAN) bus system unit TCM error, power brake, and engine failure. The TPMS warning light was illuminated. The dealer was contacted and was unable to determine the cause of the failure. However, the dealer wanted to replace the CAN bus unit. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,662.

The air conditioner warning light came on in April 2026. I took it to dealer to be checked. Dealer said no problem. That warning light went on intermittently through May, June and July. By end of July I took it back to dealer. The evaporator was indeed malfunctioning and emitting carbon dioxide into the cabin when the air conditioner was on. While repairing the evaporator system, the plastic cover over the ground stud broke and required replacement. The vehicle was out of service for 10 working days.

On August 11th, 2026 right before noon, the sunroof on my Audi Q5 (hybrid, 2021 model) exploded without warning. Luckily noone was hurt but the explosion alone was enough to distract someone to run off the road. Luckily there were no pedestrians around otherwise they could have been hit by flying glass. And luckily the sunroof cover was protecting me otherwise the glass would have been all over the cabin. I had never heard of exploding sunroofs but have since learned that it’s a known problem. I realize there was an investigation which was eventually called off with no results, but I want you to know that the problem is still there. There was nothing wrong with our sunroof. I wasn’t hit by any debris, it just exploded out of nowhere. I seriously thought I was shot at. I am emailing to bring this back to your attention in the hopes that you don’t shrug this off. The explosion was loud and freaked me out. People could have gotten hurt.

On [XXX] about [XXX], I was driving my 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Premium Plus (VIN [XXX]) in a private parking garage while on the clock for work. I had just left a work meeting and was traveling back to my office. I was backing out of a parking space next to a concrete column when my passenger-side mirror contacted the column. The vehicle’s proximity sensors beeped, which appeared normal. I then pulled forward slowly to straighten the vehicle and assess the mirror. My foot was initially on the accelerator because I was attempting to move forward slowly. The vehicle suddenly jerked and accelerated extremely rapidly and unexpectedly. I immediately moved my foot completely from the accelerator to the brake. I am certain I was not touching the accelerator. The brake pedal felt normal, but the vehicle continued accelerating and would not stop. The vehicle struck a second concrete column approximately one parking space away with substantial force. The impact stopped the vehicle. The vehicle remained powered on after the collision. There was no apparent collision-assistance intervention. I did not observe a brake-system or collision-assistance warning immediately before the event. I was not yet wearing my seatbelt because I was still maneuvering out of the parking space. My head struck the rearview mirror during the collision, causing an avulsion wound to my forehead requiring stitches. I was treated in the ER, underwent CT imaging, and was kept overnight for observation. After the crash, I discovered that my exact VIN has an unrepaired NHTSA safety recall 26V240 / Audi 46P7, issued April 15, 2026. The recall concerns the brake pedal input rod/brake booster actuator rod connection, which may disconnect and result in loss of normal braking. I received the recall letter in April but had not yet had an opportunity to take the vehicle to Audi before the crash. letter did not instruct me not to drive the vehicle. I’m concerned the defect caused the acciden INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),

My 2020 Audi A4 has an open safety recall campaign. Audi Corporate and my local dealership are formally refusing to perform the recall remedy unless I pay over $2,000 out-of-pocket to replace a broken J949 SOS Telematics Module. The manufacturer claims the module is separate from the recall, but its total failure physically blocks their diagnostic tools from applying the mandatory safety update. Conditioning a federal safety recall on a customer-paid repair violates recall compliance regulations, and has left my automatic emergency crash reporting and vehicle communication systems completely disabled.

The contact owns a 2020 Audi A4. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the message SOS module no longer connected was displayed on the instrument panel, and the vehicle failed to shut off. The contact believed that the failure was a safety issue due to the loss of communication, including the hands-free features, mobile phone connectivity, and the regular safety features failing to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the communication module failure was the same as the SOS module failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.

THE GATEWAY COMPUTER WAS FRIED DUE TO WATER CONSUMPTION. I WAS DRIVING AND LOST ALL POWER IN THE CAR AND HADE TO PULL OVER WITH NO POWER TO HELP ME. ALSO THIS WAS ALREADY RECALLED IN 2019-2022 AUDI FIX WAS TO PUT A PLASTIC BAG AROUND THE GATE WAY COMPUTER BUT THIS DID NOT PRETECT THE GATEWAY PROPERLY. THE GATEWAY IS LOCATED UNDER THE REAR SEAT DEALER CONFIRMED THE GATEWAY HAD WATER DAMAGE AND WOULD NOT WARENTY THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH I STILL HAD A WARENTY AUDI DELT WITH MY INSURANCE TO CORRECT THR PROBLEM. ALL WORNING LIGHT APPERIRED WHEN THE PROBLEM ACCURED ONLY.

The contact owns a 2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Alenza AS Ultra, Tire Size: 285/45/R20, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that the rear tires indicated premature tread wear. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that similar failures were known failures; however, the tires were not inspected or replaced. The tire manufacturer was made aware of the failure and directed the contact to the vehicle manufacturer because the tires were OEM for the vehicle. The vehicle manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was directed to the tire manufacturer for additional assistance. The failure mileage was 10,000.

waterpump is leaking- known issue that is currently being investigated for class action lawsuit. My car is now out of warranty.
