2023 BRAUN RAM PROMASTER- Olympia, WA
Intermitent loss of electronic power steering. Dealer Service Tech says it is water intrusion into the steering rack. Part needs replacement. Dash warning at time of failure only once. I have heard from other owners this is a common problem.

2023 BRAUN RAM PROMASTER- Centerville, PA
Followup of Case # 11612576 filed 10/04/24. The issue of our UConnect system faulting out has never been resolved after much troubleshooting by the dealership. The system continues to fault out which disables the Automatic Emergency Braking system and the Emergency SOS systems also. This system faults out continually while driving. The safety features are disabled more than enabled according to the indicator lights on the display. My concern is that it disables the safety feature but question if it can also activate the braking when it shouldn't which could cause very erratic and unsafe event.

2024 BRAUN RAM PROMASTER- Toa Baja, PR
On Thursday, [XXX], I took my vehicle to the authorized dealership Alberic Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located on Kennedy Avenue in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for routine maintenance. While handling the vehicle, the service personnel lifted it using the shop's lift equipment, raising it all the way to the ceiling, which caused severe structural damage to the vehicle's roof. The dealership contacted the Puerto Rico State Police, who filed report number [XXX]. Additionally, I was asked to complete a written damage claim at the dealership. The vehicle was under full manufacturer's warranty at the time of the incident. However, the structural damage has now compromised the vehicle's integrity, specifically: - The rear doors became misaligned. - The roof suffered a visible crack, which exposed the interior of the vehicle to weather conditions. - The damage potentially affects warranty coverage, especially related to corrosion protection. We requested that the dealership retain the vehicle on-site to allow for inspection by the manufacturer's technical team. The dealership refused to do so unless I agreed to pay a $25 daily storage fee. We also requested substitute transportation, which they denied. Additionally, according to the NHTSA database, this vehicle currently has an open safety recall. I was never informed of this recall by the dealership at the time of the maintenance appointment, which is a serious failure in the dealership's responsibility to notify the owner and address potential safety risks. The vehicle is used for both personal and professional transportation, and at the time of the incident, it had 8,402 miles. This incident raises significant safety concerns regarding the vehicle's structural integrity, the open recall, and the dealership's handling of the matter. I respectfully request NHTSA's assistance in investigating this situation to ensure that both the safety standards and consumer protections are upheld. 2023 BRAUN TOYOTA SIENNA- Golden, CO
When going down hill and needing to brake at a stop sign the brakes feel like they release for a second causing me to move further forward than expected. When I press further on the brake peddle they seem to engage again. Concerning since I'm going into a stop sign at the bottom of hill. The sensation is as if I'm slipping on ice and loosing the ability to brake before they engage again. I have to drive this everyday and has happened several times but not able to replicate it and the dealer has not been able to reproduce it, therefore nothing is wrong according to them. No warning lights appear. The brakes have not been inspected since the dealer feels there is nothing wrong. If I'm ever not able to get the brakes to re-engage then I will run the stop sign and off the embankment on the other side.

2005 BRAUN ENTERVAN- FOLSOM, CA
I EXPERIENCED A FLAT TIRE ON THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE. I LOOKED AT THE BRAUN CONSUMER OPERATORS MANUAL (VER30117 DATED MARCH 2004 WHICH CAME WITH THE HANDICAP CONVERSION WHICH CAME WITH THE VEHICLE) TO DETERMINE HOW TO CHANGE THE TIRE. THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL STATES "JACKING AND TIRE CHANGING PROCEDURES HAVE NOT BEEN AFFECTED BY THE CONVERSION". DETAILED TIRE CHANGING INSTRUCTIONS ARE PROVIDED IN THE CHRYSLER SUPPLIED OWNERS MANUAL" I REFERENCED THE CHRYSLER OWNERS MANUAL WHICH CAME WITH THE VEHICLE TO DETERMINE THE JACKING AND TIRE CHANGING PROCEDURE. THE CONVERSION HOWEVER PREVENTS ACCESS TO THE FACTORY INSTALLED JACKING POINTS AS THERE ARE SKIRTS ON EACH SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. WITH THE TIRE DEFLATED IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLACE THE JACK UNDER THE VEHICLE ON THE JACKING POINTS. I CALLED THE BRAUN CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER PROVIDED IN THE MANUAL WHERE I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE JACKED USING THE SUPPLIED JACK. I WAS STUCK WITH MY DISABLED IN HIS POWER WHEEL CHAIR AND NEEDED TO BE TOILETED. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR A TOW TRUCK. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT THEN SPOKE WITH THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT WHO SUGGESTED THAT TO GAIN CLEARANCE TO THE JACKING POINT WITH THE SUPPLIED JACK THAT I DRIVE THE FLAT TIRE UP ONTO A ROCK. I DROVE UP ONTO A CURB AND WHEN I JACKED THE VAN UP USING THE THEN ACCESSIBLE JACKING POINT THE JACK COLLAPSED. I WROTE AN EMAIL TO THE CEO OF BRAUN ASKING FOR RESOLUTION AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. BASED ON THE CONVERSATION I HAD WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AT BRAUN. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE MADE PUBLIC FOR ALL OF THE OWNERS OF THESE HANDICAP VANS. IT SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANUFACTURER AND ITS DEALERS OF THESE VEHICLES TO INSURE THAT TIRE CHANGES CAN BE DONE BY ITS USERS. BRAUN SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR SUGGESTING LIFE THREATENING WORK AROUNDS TO THIS KNOWN ENGINEERING ISSUE. *JS

2008 BRAUN TOWN & COUNTRY- SAN DIEGO, CA
WAS TOLD TO WAIT 1 MONTH FOR CRITICAL SAFETY RECALL THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. FROM RECALL LETTER: CHRYSLER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY AND DODGE GRAND CARAVAN VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE A WATER LEAK AT THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONER "HVAC" DRAIN GROMMET WHICH CAN LEAD TO ILLUMINATION OF AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT AND A POTENTIAL INADVERTENT AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. I WAS TOLD AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE IN THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND I'D HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT A MONTH TO GET THIS DONE. MY CONCERN IS THAT I DO HEAR HISSING UNDER THE DASH AND HAVE LOSS A/C COOLANT. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY WITHOUT WARNING. I FELT AND FEEL THIS SHOULD BE ESCALATED TO GET THESE PARTS FASTER IN ORDER TO AVOID AN AVOIDABLE INCIDENT THAT MAY UNNECESSARY LOSS OF LIFE. NOT ONLY FOR MY FAMILY BUT OTHERS WITH SIMILAR VEHICLES. IT DIDN'T SEEM TO MATTER TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER I SPOKE TO THIS MORNING. I SUBMIT THIS STATING THAT I TRIED TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM, BUT CHRYSLER AND ITS REPRESENTATIVES DID NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE.
