2015 CADILLAC SRX Complaints

The SRX models have been documented as having a defect with the headlights. Cadillac failed to notify all owners about a reimbursement program for a brief time in 2020. I own a low miles, garage housed SRX that is a danger to drive at night. I do not mind fixing my vehicles when there is a problem. However when this is a well-known highly documented issue, this is where I feel Cadillac should assist with this fix.

I purchased my 2015 Cadillac SRX a year ago from a private car dealer and of course he never told me about the headlight issue. I purchased two different types of bulbs and paid to have them installed and there are not bright enough Just like other people with the same problem I can't see at night and here in Maine it gets dark by 4:00 and driving at night is so very scary. I am [XXX] and this vehicle is my dream car. I feel GM needs to fix this issue free of charge!! The intensity of headlights on this vehicle is dangerously low. When searching for a solution on light, I found that this particular problem was the subject of class-action lawsuit. I am the original owner of this vehicle. I was not informed or part of this lawsuit. Now I am told that it will cost $2.500 to replace the headlamps because moisture that leaks into the light housing has caused the lights to dim. Driving at night is now increasingly dangerous. Apparently, Cadillac has recognized this as a problem through the lawsuit. Loyal owners like myself need to have this problem corrected at no cost because it is a recognized part defect.

My headlights are so dim it looks like I don’t have headlights until I do bright lights. I literally have to drive with bright lights all the time at night. Found this out on [XXX] while trying to get home from Land O Lakes, FL. I don’t do much night driving but at [XXX] I should be able to see. HEADLIGHTS!!! The headlights are so dim that other drivers flash me, honk at me or yell at me to turn my lights on when driving at night. When driving at night It is the same as driving without my headlights on. I have to use the high beams to drive at night. I changed the fuses, changed 1 of the bulbs and still no difference. GM Class Action says Cadillac SRX Headlight failure merits recall. No recall ever received. A lack of adequate illumination. GM, Mastria GMC Cadillac Inc. and 3rd party failed to disclose the defect. Leaving me the owner to pay for the entire cost for replacement headlights.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed at night, the headlights were dim. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced both headlight bulbs; however, the failure recurred. The contact related the failure to the headlight weather seals eroding prematurely, allowing moisture to enter the headlight housing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

Faulty sky light drainage design directs water directly into the rear under deck compartment where the company located electric lift gate equipment the water shorts out the entire electric system. The total loss of power occurring at highway speed could be deadly.

The low beam lights are so dim you can not see 5 feet in front of you. It’s a danger to me on the road with the low beams on and to other drivers if I have my high beams on.

My ABS break module light stayes on - Cadillac stop making the part for the 2015 SRX. This is a safety concern and also reduce the trade in value.
