The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact received NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, the traction control, stabilitrak, and rear axle warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle started to shake uncontrollably, and the steering wheel became difficult to turn, with an abnormal noise. The contact mentioned that the tires were wearing unevenly due to the defective toe link. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed however, the mechanic was unable to fix the defect. The dealer was contacted and hung up the phone when the contact asked for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would sway from side to side with the service engine warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that an abnormal grinding sound would emit from the axle. Additionally, excessive force was needed to steer the vehicle. Water gets into the headlight assembly causing the lights to dim and create a safety hazard, Caddilac knows of this problem but did not issue a recall only a reimbursement offer that has expired.

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 50 mph in the rain, due to the dim lighting on the headlights he failed to see a sofa in the middle of the freeway and crashed into it. The contact stated he did not sustain any injuries nor sought medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer and repaired the structural damage on the body but did not inform the failure of the dim lighting. The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would independently downshift without warning. After a few minutes, the contact would be able to resume normal driving upon restart. The contact called a dealer about the failure and was informed that unless a warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel, they could not diagnose the failure. Recently, the contact stated that while driving out of a parking lot, the vehicle would not shift out of first gear with the check engine warning light illuminated. After, calling her husband for assistance, her husband was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
