  • 2022 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV
    - Roswell, GA

I was driving with my children in tow. My "reduced acceleration light" came on as well as my check engine light. Within minutes of these turning on, my car went into Limp mode (shifted in neutral) and would not accelerate and steering felt locked up. I quickly got off to the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. When I restarted, the vehicle would not go into reverse or any gear other than park. This was terrifying. Thankfully, the road I was on had a speed limit of 40; however, had I been on the GA 400 or I-285, my family could have been easily involved in an accident. I had the vehicle towed to the local Cadillac dealership. After a week, I am told it is a faulty Control Valve Body and that there is no ETA on when this part with be available. The tow truck driver stated I was the 3rd Escalade driver in the last two weeks that the same issue had occurred. I will be reaching out to a lemon law attorney as well. This vehicle is still under warranty.

The contact owns a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. The contact stated that while driving under 35 MPH on several occasions, the brakes were independently activated. The TPMS warning light was illuminated intermittently. Additionally, the front passenger’s side tire was flat. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that an undisclosed system software needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

  • 2020 CADILLAC XT6
    - Lincoln, NE

Vehicle has a high-pitched whining noise when cold. Vehicle also has a transmission shutter problem at lower RPM. I do not think the two are related rather than two separate incidences. But cannot be confirmed that they are two separate. Maybe one problem only. I do have video of this happening. Cannot upload a video though.

Transmission shudder at low RPMs. Feels like transmission should down shift sooner, but it shudders and shakes until RPMs get up higher. Does it when RPMs are around the 1500 mark. Vehicle almost seems like it will stall unless you give it more fuel to get RPMs up higher.

  • 2013 CADILLAC ESCALADE
    - Burlington, WI

I am currently experiencing a concerning issue with my hybrid car, which has been stalling unexpectedly and shutting itself off while driving. This alarming behavior poses a significant safety risk, as it could potentially lead to a crash in critical situations, especially if it occurs during high-speed travel or in heavy traffic. Despite regular maintenance and inspections, the problem persists, and I am worried about the reliability of the vehicle. The intermittent nature of the stalling makes it particularly difficult to diagnose, and I am seeking expert assistance to resolve the underlying issue. It is crucial for me to ensure that my car operates safely and consistently to prevent any dangerous situations on the road. I would greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations on troubleshooting this matter or guidance on steps I should take to address this urgent concern. Thank you for your help.

  • 2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE
    - Broomfield, CO

After spending 3 months in Palm Desert CA, we were heading home to Colorado on Saturday [XXX]. Just a few miles east of Barstow CA, traveling about 70 mph on [XXX], our Escalade just died and shifted itself into neutral. Luckily we were able to guide the car on to the shoulder area. The experience was terrifying as we sat there for 4 hours……… speaking several times with both OnStar and Cadillac Roadside Assistance. A tow truck driver FINALLY arrived about 1:00 PM and took us and our Escalade to Victorville Cadillac where we arrived around 2:00 PM. Because it was Saturday afternoon, they would not be able to look at the car until Monday. We met with the General Manager, who provided us with a loaner car. The car was fully packed with our belongings and we were assured that the car would be secured on their lot. On Monday [XXX] at 11:05 AM, Jon Adams from the service department called Fred to say that the engine was blown and there were fragments in the oil pan. We headed to the dealership where we were for the next 4 hours. We were told that it could take several weeks for them to get a new engine delivered. We were over 900 miles from home and really had no other option than to buy another car from them. Of course, we had NO intention of trading in the Escalade as it we only had it for 1 year and 8 months AND only with 10,245 miles!! We were two mentally exhausted [XXX] who just wanted to get home!! The GM assured us that he would give us the full trade-in value of the Cadillac as if there we no engine issues. So, we purchased a 2024 Chevy Tahoe High Country in the amount of 91K. They gave us a trade price price of $81,550 for the Cadillac (we paid $110,775 on [XXX]) After spending 3 nights in Victorville, we headed home on 4/16/24. On 4/22/24 we requested a copy of the work order to submit to Cadillac only to find out that our Cadillac had already been repaired on 4/19 and on their lot for sale on 4/22 for $109,651! Passenger sensing device for the passenger seat is failing intermittently. Service airbag light is coming on periodically, and, when it does, the passenger "Airbag ON" light fails to illuminate even if a passenger over 100 lbs is in the seat. This is a long recurring issue with all GM cars where the sensing pad goes bad.

6.2L V8 - First engine trouble was at 71K miles, right side lifter failure. Dealership and GM covered part of the engine tear down and right side lifter replacement in July 2024. [XXX], complete engine failure on the highway in Amarillo, TX. My wife, 3 children and dog in the car. Engine stopped driving down the highway and ended up blocking a very busy 4 way construction stop. Was unable to put vehicle into Neutral, so tow truck had to drag vehicle onto deck.
