2011 CADILLAC SRX- Sunland-Tujunga,, CA
The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started shuddering with the "Service Stability Trak" message on the instrument panel. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving with an abnormal sound coming from the rear of the vehicle whenever the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. 2012 CADILLAC SRX- La Place, LA
The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the low-beam headlight bulbs became inoperable without warning. The contact was forced to use the high-beam headlights for the duration of his trip. The headlight bulbs were replaced at the dealer. The contact had initially received a warranty notice from the manufacturer about the headlights that informed him that he would be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses for his headlights. The dealer informed him that they were unable to reimburse him for the repair and referred him to the manufacturer. VEHICLE HAS A RECALL ID. RECALL 21V473. ADVISED BY DEALER FOR CADILLAC NOT TO DRIVE OR OPERATE VEHICHLE, HOWEVER GM DOES NOT HAVE PARTS TO CORRECT RECALL AND AS A CONSUMER AND ONLY TRANSPORTATION IT IS A BURDEN FOR ME . I ALSO HAVE A LOAN ON THIS VEHICLE THAT IS CURRENT IN PAYMENTS AND MUST MAKE FUTURE PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I FEEL GM. NEEDS TO GET THIS VEHICLE REPAIRED ASAP. OR PURCHASE BACK ATR THE COST OF MY LOAN. VERY UPSET AND ANGRY THERE IS AT THIS TIME NO RESOLUTION BY GM AND NO PARTS AVAILABLE .
