I haven't had a problem with my car and my truck. But my main concern is the LED and laser headlights almost every new car and truck that comes equipped with them. Even the aftermarket replacement bulbs and light assemblies, they are way too bright at night. Blindly bright. I have to put my hand in front of my eyes and face to reduce the amount of glare. I feel like these headlights can be a safety hazard to drivers at night.

2015 CADILLAC SRX- BALTIMORE, MD
The CUE touchscreen display has cracked for the second time in seven years without any physical impact. This appears to be a widespread defect in Cadillac SRX models. The screen becomes unresponsive and is a major distraction while driving, impacting safety, navigation, climate control, and backup camera visibility. Cadillac previously replaced it under warranty, but it has failed again. GM has not issued a recall despite hundreds of similar reports.”

2021 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV- Stillwater, MN
While on a family vacation in the Black Hills, I began to hear a knocking sound from the front right of the vehicle. Shortly after the engine began to sputter and multiple warning lights/ messages began to appear. Just prior to this, everything on the vehicle was functioning perfectly. We stopped operating the vehicle immediately when it began to malfunction and pulled over, leaving me and my young family stranded over an hour away from our rental cabin. The next day we were able to get a tow truck and find a dealership, Denny Menholt Chevrolet back in Rapid City, SD that was able to look at it right away. We were told by Denny Menholt later that day that there was a bearing failure of the rod and piston on cylinder #8 and that the entire engine block was destroyed resulting in the need of a whole new engine. We were also told by the dealer that our vehicle was not included in the recall of all the other 6.2 motors, however, GM was going to take care of everything including a brand new engine, rental car coverage, and shipping the vehicle back to us, all free of charge to us. Fast forward several weeks and we got a call from Denny Menholt stating that GM had gone back on their word and was not going to pay for any of the damages because we were 7k miles over the powertrain warranty. I have filed a complaint with GM customer service but have gotten nowhere after 3 weeks worth of phone calls and emails. The engine failure that I had is the exact same problem that all of the other 6.2 motors have been recalled for, so I don't understand why my vehicle is not also included in the recall. This issue left me in a very bad place being stranded with a [XXX] and [XXX]. As a lifelong GM customer, I'm severely disappointed in GM and the way that they have handled my case. This Escalade is supposed to be their top of the line vehicle, it only made it to 77,632 miles before it had catastrophic engine failure, and now GM will not stand behind their product. Dealership had ownership of car and should have replaced the timing chain before selling car to me, which they did not and after time for repairs to be done before time ran out, I had to pay for repairs, causing me be be out $3000+ dollars for repairs should have been covered by the warranty.

2025 CADILLAC LYRIQ- Bedford, NH
I purchased the 2025 Lyriq new on May 11, 2025. On May 30th with 5400 miles on the car, the front right wheel tie rod snapped off while driving causing the wheel to turn sideways. I was making a turn on a secondary sheet when it happened and was able to pull to the side of the road. Had I been driving on the highway at the time, I could have been killed or hurt another driver. I had the car towed to MacMulkin Cadillac on June 1. The dealership noted that it was bad welding and the car showed rust and rot in that area. It will be 30 days this Monday and no one from GM has been out to investigate.

2022 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV- Irvine, CA
I own a 2022 Cadillac Escalade that is affected by Recall N252494000. Although the recall repair is not yet available, I’m experiencing several serious symptoms that appear related to the recall: The engine consumes oil at an abnormal rate. I need to add oil frequently between scheduled changes. When I press the gas pedal, there is a delay in response — the car doesn’t accelerate immediately, then suddenly surges. I also hear a light metallic ticking or knocking sound when the engine is warm, especially at idle. I use this vehicle daily for work, and these issues are affecting safety and causing financial loss. I brought the vehicle to a dealership, but they were unwilling to replace the engine without a diagnostic trouble code. I’m concerned that GM is delaying the proper fix, and I am requesting NHTSA to investigate and ensure that affected customers like me receive a complete engine replacement when symptoms are present — even without error codes. Thank you for your attention.

2021 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV- Concord, CA
Vehicle: 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Engine: 6.2L V8 Mileage at failure: 84,000 miles Problem: Complete engine failure Description: I own a 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV with a 6.2L V8 engine. At only 84,000 miles, the engine failed and had to be completely replaced. The symptoms and failure are identical to what is described in GM’s recent recall of 2021–2024 Escalades with 6.2L V8 engines. However, when checking my VIN, it shows that my vehicle is not included in the current recall. Given the premature engine failure and matching issue, I believe the recall scope may be too narrow and does not fully capture all affected vehicles. I’m requesting NHTSA investigate and consider expanding the recall to include my VIN. I have repair records and can provide further details.

2024 CADILLAC LYRIQ- Solon, OH
Since a recent software update, vehicle will unexpectedly give multiple error codes, and disengage “one-pedal driving” mode. This happened recently when coming to a stop at a traffic light behind another vehicle. When coming to a gradual one-pedal stop, the one pedal driving mode unexpectedly disengaged, causing me to almost hit the vehicle in front of me. This error has occurred 5-6 times in the past 3 months.
