On Febuary 13th 2026 I was involved in a wreck where I re-ended another stopped vehicle. There was no warning light or automated braking executed. I braked hard but not soon enough. There was no malfunction warnings or lights displayed before (or after ) the accident showing it to be inoperative. It has been in to the dealer 3 times since. Yes it is available for inspection. Was told that it will not work if you have your foot on brake or accelerator by one technician. This truck use to brake for no reason even going 70 mph on highway. I am pretty sure GM has reprogramed to fix that issue leaving the sensitivitu so low it now does not work at all.

The all around vehicle camera system fails on average every 6 months. As the dealership is far away in our area, I have to take a 1/2 day to full day off work to take it over. I believe we are now on the third replacement camera module, in need of a fourth that was just replaced less than two months ago. GM makes it unreasonable to deal with. They require you drive over to the dealership just so they can see the same problem is occuring and only then will order parts, requiring a second appointment. The problem is the same and this is just adding more time to the failing safety issue which is of major concern because we can't just drop in easily because we are in a remote area. It sometimes takes over a month for me to be able to schedule a time to go over there --- so I go many weeks with a failing camera system.

Complete engine failure on the highway, compete engine and power lockup, towed back to dealership where complete engine lockup was confirmed. No prior issues, no other damage contributing to failure. Claims not to be covered under current recall, advising the recall be extended to all 6.2 19-04 Chevy models as I experienced the same engine failure as recall states.

The 6.2 liter engine has been recalled. The problem is if you pass inspection you are now required to use a higher grade of oil. This results in an additional cost of about $50 per change. The reimbursement of the difference should have been covered by the recall as this was not an intended cost when I purchased the truck.

On [XXX], I was going to Atlanta, the truck started hesitating harshly while I was passing another driver on a two lane road. The truck wouldn’t accelerate and the paddle seemed to be stuck, I had to pull off the road to avoid a head on collision. On the 30th of May, I took the truck to Allen Turner in Pensacola, Florida where I purchased it and reported the issue, the service department was closed and they sent me next door to a Chevrolet Dealership, which was also closed. On today [XXX], I took the truck out for a test drive, and I had the same incident happen, but this time I pulled into a gas station and shutdown the truck. Once I turned the truck back on, the check engine light came on. I didn’t think I would make it back home, because the truck didn’t accelerate correctly, and when I pressed the gas pedal it didn’t accelerate and was making different noises. The pedal seemed to be stuck, with no acceleration. I recorded a little bit with my phone while trying to drive, but it’s not the best. L87 6.2L engine failed. Loud knocking, no oil pressure, engine stalled and would not restart. This happened despite GM's recall where they changed to 0W40 oil.

Driving 70mph on the interested, the vehicle put itself in neutral. I pulled over and turned off the engine. I started it back up then it stalled at the next stop light. It would not turn back on. It had to be towed to the dealership. Turns out it was the 6.2 engine recall issue. It has been in the shop for 5 weeks and still waiting on repair parts.
