For the second time the service high voltage system warning has came on first time it was updated the dealership said now it’s back on again A/C not working properly

My dashboard gave an alert “battery saver active” then another alert stating to “service charging system, vehicle may stall”. Then the alerts cleared. After a few minutes both alerts were on my dashboard again. I was able to pull into an [XXX] ’s and had them check the battery, which was replaced a few months ago, employee stated that the battery was so low, only showing 11.4 that they couldn’t even test it, that she testing the alternator and the computer said it needed to be replaced. The employee stated that most GM replacement alternators for Chevy traverse 2023 are on back order due to so many having to be replaced right at the 3 year mark. We could only get a store brand replacement part due to the back order. Once I bought the part, my husband drove behind me for the 30 minute drive home, we had to pull over twice to jump off the battery and charge it due to the vehicle stalling. Once home we replaced the part and seems to work fine, it has only been 9 days. I have the original part for inspection and receipts of purchase for the new part. For the second time in my 2021 Chevrolet Silverado with a 5.3-liter engine, I've had GM lifter failure. It's directly related to the Active Fuel Management System (AFM), and was confirmed by my Chevrolet dealer's mechanic and service writer, Burdick Chevrolet in Cicero, New York, on both occasions. They've had to perform a multi-thousand-dollar lifter replacement service job. They've told me that GM is aware of the safety issues, but won't do anything about them. It also happened to me with my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, but I was lucky that time. It was fixed with new spark plugs and wires. It's cost me thousands of dollars for repairs each time. But that's not why I'm reporting this to NHTSA. The issue is safety. When the lifters fail, you get no warning. The truck rattles and rumbles. It becomes unstable on the road, and sometimes wobbles as if it's about to go out of control. The problem causes the loss of electronic stability control (ESC) and renders the electronic parking brake useless. Lifter failure can also cause the engine to stall while driving, especially at a stoplight. This happened to me. I had to press the gas pedal gently to keep the engine running at a stop light just to get off the road. On the highway, when the lifters fail, the truck slows to a point where it cannot keep up with traffic. That presents a dangerous situation. It's not safe. GM knows about it, but as far as I understand, the company has done nothing to fix the safety problem. Internet forums are full of comments about the problem, the safety issues, and the enormous cost of repairs. Surely your agency can compel GM to fix the lifter failure problem before someone suffers a major accident due to an uncontrollable vehicle. I'll never buy another vehicle with AFM. Many people are unaware of the dangers involved with this system. GM should get rid of it. The car sometimes will not accelerate in the 25-35 mph range and will begin to shudder and shake. This can be very dangerous when attempting to merge on a highway. This also happens when completely stopped and and then accelerating. It will shake and shudders until or not accelerate at all forcing you to take your foot off the gas and reapplying pressure slowly or slower than what should be. This shuddering can also happen at higher speeds as well. This will likely cause an accident at some point if this continues.

My vehicle is breaking on its own. There are other vehicles riding behind me and it just stops out of nowhere. I think that's dangerous. I can be driving and I'm thinking I'm OK driving in a vehicle. Just just hit on break. I don't know where I just stops and while I'm driving and I think that's very dangerous

The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving and stopped at a traffic light, while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond, and the vehicle lost automotive power. The contact stated that five minutes after restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as intended. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine control module needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V642000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, ENGINE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.

While driving, a burning odor developed followed by visible smoke entering the passenger cabin from the dashboard/HUD area. We pulled the vehicle over and had it towed due to safety concerns. Dealer required dashboard disassembly to investigate potential electrical/fire condition but was unable to replicate the issue.

Rear camera stoped working. I read 2022 to 2024 had recalls on internet. Ours is 2025. Been to dealer they ordered new camera under warranty. But there on back order. They said they would call us when it came in. That’s the story.

Bracket fell off of the exhaust pipe on my 2020 Chevrolet Traverse LT, which in turn cracked the exhaust pipe, making my car create this loud noise every time the car was accelerating.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving 75 MPH, the brake pedal became firm while depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact used excessive force while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact associated the brake failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V576000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
