Vehicle: 2025 Chevrolet Traverse On [XXX] at approximately [XXX], while driving south on [XXX] , my vehicle suddenly shut off without warning resulting in a complete electrical failure. During this event, I lost the ability to accelerate, activate hazard lights, unlock doors, open or close windows, or use the OnStar system. The vehicle restarted briefly but then shut off two additional times before I could safely move it off the road. There were no warning messages or signals prior to this incident. This created a serious and immediate safety hazard, as I was unable to alert other drivers or exit the vehicle during the failure. I am requesting a formal investigation into this issue, documentation as a safety defect, and immediate corrective action. This incident poses a significant risk to driver and passenger safety. The vehicle has been towed to the dealership it was purchased from. The problem has not been confirmed or reproduced by the service center. I started losing Regen braking intermittently, when this happens the brakes themselves don't work well and there's no warning, you lift of the pedal expecting the car to stop and its rolling freely, to push brake and its not stopping like you expect, then it thuds and lunges forward a bit and stops. It was rarely happening, now the car can barely be driven. I have not got it into a shop yet. It throws DTC P182B, P182D, P1840, and U0401 every time. Clearing them, even while still moving brings it all back to normal, except an image of my previous drive will be frozen on infotainment that I have to hard reset to get it to work. Also backup camera does now work when these codes are active. I have found 1 person online that is having this exact issue. It's terrifying to approach a stop light and used to 1 pedal driving and I'm rolling freely instead. the first incident of it was 03/05/26 and has progressively worsened. My code scanner keeps records of when I clear the codes,

My 2021 Chevrolet Suburban experienced a sudden no start condition which required the vehicle to be towed for repair. A diagnostic inspection determined that both the fuel pump and the fuel pump control module had failed. I paid out of pocket for the full repair, including replacement of both components. Several months later, GM issued a safety recall for the fuel pump control module on this vehicle. I submitted a reimbursement request to GM. GM agreed to reimburse only the control module , but refused to reimburse the fuel pump, even though the pump failure was directly caused by the defective module that is now under recall. Federal recall reimbursement guidelines require manufacturers to reimburse the full cost of the remedy for the defect. In this case, the defective module caused the fuel pump to fail, making the pump replacement part of the necessary remedy. GM’s refusal to reimburse the full repair cost leaves me paying for damage caused by the recalled component. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in reviewing GM’s refusal to reimburse the full repair cost associated with this recall related failure.

Multiple Wheels (9) have been replaced and multiple tires. Have had to repair each of these wheels upwards of 20+ times and it’s not allowed legally after 3 cracks per wheel. Safety issue as tires would blow out or go flat in short time. Yes, been inspected multiple times by dealers, GM and told not covered under any warranty. One incident, GM agreed to replace the 2 rear wheels at 50% retail!

Steering clunks during low speed maneuvers, shimmy started while rounding a curve at highway speed on uneven pavement. Local garage has identified it as a broken steering gear. Car has only 36000 miles.

The backup camera view does not appear on my dash screen along with all other camera views. There were no warnings or indicators. It was working the last time the vehicle was driven and then failed on the next vehicle start up.

Car was parked (in covered area) when back window shattered sometime after 12pm. Car had not been driven in two days and outdoor temperature started at 62 that morning so there were not extreme temperature changes as at the time the window shattered, it was approximately 75 degrees. No apparent reason for breakage as we live in a secluded area and were nearby outside enjoying the day.

Vehicle will detect objects in the blind spot when there are none there. I will look back and see that nothing is in the blind spot. Turn my turn signal on to indicate a lane change. I get half-way through the lane change and the light on the mirror starts to flash indicating that something is in my blind spot. I react and return to my original lane. I look back again and ther is nothing there. This is the classic false positive. It is dangerous because I am learning that the system is unreliable and an unreliable system eventually gets ignored. This is the classic "Boy Who Cried Wolf." GM is aware of the problem but it is not getting the urgent attention that it needs. This is a bad situation. I would prefer it the system were turned OFF. This happens quite regularly in the drivers side blind spot.

Check engine light with codes p0700 and p2796 has been happening for months with multiple failed repair attempts. Vehicle was returned to me by the dealer supposedly fixed. I drove it 15 minutes to the high school for an art fair my daughter was in. They (my family) rode with me home. Check engine light was on again. On the way home, the transmission was acting strange, not shifting properly. About half way home, it got stuck in a gear at 3500 or so rpms and would not shift. I tried the manual shifter, and it didn’t work. Stuck in gear. Concern was that we were approaching a hill when it did this, and I could not get the vehicle to shift to deliver the appropriate level of power I needed to ascend the hill. It thankfully did eventually shift, but it was scary for a few seconds, especially since I had my wife and all three of my kids in the vehicle. I dropped the vehicle off the next morning. It got stuck in gear at 3500 RPMS again on the way to the dealership. Two dealerships have made multiple failed attempts to fix the transmission issues. Several attempts to contact GM have gone without a response. No one in my family feels safe in the vehicle after what happened.
