2022 CHRYSLER PACIFICA Complaints

STOP SAFELY vehicle will shut off Soon sign came while I was driver in 3rd lane on [XXX] in Virginia it shut off before I could pull to safety. Vehicle behind me slightly hit me on back. I got checked for dealer its fault in transmission. But I don't feel safe driving again since it shuts off while doing 65 mph. While traveling at highway speeds, vehicle enters into "limp" mode with an in-dash warning "Stop Safely. Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" warning and a red turtle warning symbol above the drive indicator. The vehicle immediately stops sending power to the wheels and it must be safely pulled over to the side. This was brought into the dealership for service and the car was returned as "repaired." But this has not been fixed. After the initial occurrence, this has re-occurred multiple times, most recently on 06/19/2025 and 06/21/2025.

While at freeway speed (~75mph) "Vehicle Will Shut Off Shortly" warning appeared and lost propulsion. I pulled over and was able to get to a rest stop at reduced speed (~35mph) with the remaining battery power but it was not ideal as shoulder was limited due to road construction and could not leave vehicle on side of the road. Prior software update 03A / 23V-010 was performed as it looks to be a known condition. The software update does not repair the root cause of the failure.

The head rest will not lock into the upright position after using the Stow n Go feature.

The van was going about 10 mph and the side wall just burst and went to flat right away and tire pressure warning came on. Yokohama had a recall for this same issue in 2022 but this DOT was not included. Nothing came in contact with tire or van when the issue occurred. This would have been a major issue if going full speed. Discount tire in Southaven MS stated the tire just gave out with no indication of anything hitting the tire. Yokohama refused to do anything as this is a BraunAbility handicap van which shows them as owner 1 to do the conversion through Chrysler. These Vans cannot be purchased through Chrysler directly. Yokohama did now even offer to report this issue internally as a complaint on the tire. I kept the tire for further inspection and investigation. I also have pictures and video of the tire prior to replacement. Tire Yokohama AVID S34 (S34RV) 236/65R17 104T. The P style is not indicated on the tire. I have 3 other tires remaining on the van with same tire/DOT (DOT 4UL8-PKX3321

While I was driving this vehicle on the highway, the vehicle shut off and the engine light came on

My wife was driving our 2022 Pacific PHEV Limited with 4 kids on board suddenly went into limp mode while driving northbound south of [XXX] on [XXX]. Turtle signal was on dash with just seconds to get off freeway on limp mode. Pacifica had to be towed to Woodhouse Chrysler in Sioux City where it remains to this day. Changed PCIM and remains in limp mode. Chrysler approved hybrid transmission repair under hybrid warranty but dealer found not repairable and needs new transmission. First of all, I would like to say that I received an "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" notice citing that "certain 2022 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles failed to perform" However, my car's problem, though similar, is not quite the same as the problem mentioned by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard" - rear visibility. My car's DRIVERS' SIDE VIEW mirror is the one that poses the problem. When I put the vehicle in reverse, the right-side view mirror adjusts so that I can see the right backside of the vehicle. This, unfortunately, does not occur with the left sideview mirror. I can only see the ground. This an obvious determent to the safety of not only myself, but others as well. When I reported this irregularity to Hunter Dodge, I was told that was just the way the mechanism worked. I was told that there was nothing they could do. No one bothered to check it out. No one seemed concerned. This has been an issue since I purchased the vehicle. I don't know if anyone else has this same issue; but I feel that I am not the only one. This functionality necessary for the prevention of serious injury to pedestrians and/or property. Thank you, in advance for receiving this information.

stowing the 2nd row seat breaks the headrest. there are plastic washers in the headrest that break when the 2nd row seat is stowed more than once.
