2015 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY Complaints

When moving the front seats, unexpectedly, the front headrest, engaged and moved forward violently. Unable to move it back to its original position.

Oil cooler housing leak. Oil leaking all over transmission and engine valley, potential fire hazard. Ticking in engine and metal deposits caused by poor design of cam follower. destroyed cam and potential for engine to seize up.

Sliding door actuators failed on both sliding doors. driver side sliding door is stuck shut. There is a TSB for this for the same model year, but only for vehicles built after May 2015. Mine was built in January 2015. Worried about my kids getting stuck in the van in an emergency.

The exact issue as described in [XXX] which indicates is for Chrysler Town and Countries manufactured between [XXX], is occurring in my Chrysler Town and Country manufactured in [XXX]. This issue should be covered, as it is under this prior bulletin. This issue has been ongoing for some time. Passenger rear sliding door on my 2015 Chrysler Town and Country will not unlock with the remote. This happens all the time and has become a great concern as it causes not only frustration for me but has caused stress for my grand children thinking they are stuck in the vehicle! This also causes my wife to have to open the passenger front door and reach between the seat and the "B" post to reach the lock and unlock the door. Then at this time the door must be opened manually or push the remote button again to try and open it. This happens in hot or cold weather. This could cause the door to fail to unlock in an panic causing injury or loss of life during an emergency. As a first responder this would cause us to have to figure out ways to cut the door open or use the jaws of life to open the door after a crash where the driver is unable to inform us of the issue in unlocking the door. Safety issue for sure that needs to be repaired by Chrysler at their expense since they know of the issue.

Car shakes and stalls when coming to a stop. No lights on the dash. Took it to a dealer and found it is the sensors in the transmission. These should not break on a van that has under 100,000 miles.

My van began to leak oil at a high rate spontaneously one day. I found antifreeze had mixed into the piston chamber as well. Upon further investigation, it appears that the OFA as Chrysler calls it, or the Oil Filter Assembly, has a fatal design flaw being made of plastic and through heat and time these units are prone to cracking. Upon investigating forums, this assembly is used on other vehicles across the FCA brands and exhibits the same failure. It is also prone to cracking during the replacement process of the filter as high torque of unscrewing or screwing the filter can crack a portion of the OFA. There is an aluminum version of the OFA that is being recommended for replacement of the OEM OFA which to me signals a confirmation of the design defect, however, if the vehicle is outside the warranty, the OEM is refusing to cover any of the replacement cost.

Oil filter housing is made of plastic and leaks like crazy it is a known problem with Chrysler.

The middle row seats headrest will not latch the headrest just drops down and it could fall off and hurt someone if we were to get into a crash. We can not use that seat with a headrest that is faulty.
